The people involved in this appointment should leave. Of course it's hard to sack a Pratt. Essentially the board is the ultimate problem. The recruiting last year was a disgrace
Tutt
Jones
Thomas
Dick
Boekhurst
Jaksch
Whiley
Fields
Wood
Matured aged hacks who are contracted next year and beyond.
On top of this getting rid of
Laidler
Betts
McLean
Gartlett
@#$%&! me

So enough of the past what about the future
Coach

Not Barker. We need to appoint a guy from the outside. At least a thorough interview process
Is taking place at last
Recruiting
Must pick kids over the next 5 years . More hits and misses. We must start from the ground up
Trades
Trade Yarran and Henderson for no less than a second rounder. That would mean 4 picks in roughly the first 25
Dump
Guys that clearly are not up to it whose contract is up
Fitness
This will depend on the new coach but clearly we have failed in this area as well. Even our senior players lack strength and size
Have a stand alone reserves team
A no brainer
I have strong faith that sos will do a good job and the guys on the coaching interview panel will get the right man that's a start.
The only good thing this year has been Cripps.Graham as well but if want to keep these 2 guys we must give them some incentive to stay. Give them hope that there is future for them here.
I can only hope the board goes as well. We must get it right in all these areas.
So endeth the lesson

Word of advice- provide an abstract (summary) at the top of posts like these.

Once I see "First of all,..." Starting a post, I know the post was written one handed, while the other hand was pre-occupied holding something else.

I would have started it "First, to all and sundry", I think the "of all" is redundant and verbose. With this advice, go through and re-edit your post and then we can move on to the content

You seem to have a persecution complex K. You weren't exactly Robinson Crusoe with the call on MM, or recruiting, or the board, or Ratts etc, etc. lots of people on here have been saying the same thing, tho with a little less bellicosity. Yes we need a good apptmt process, good assistants and most if all great recruiting and no more trading for others discards or high priced under performers (Carlisle!). Almost every Carlton supporter has known that for ages, maybe the message has finally got thru to those running the club. The best apptmt recently has been Trigg, i think he gets it and is trying to get us on the right path.

Your take on recruiting, where the majority of thr blame for that lies and trading demonstrates a lack of understanding of our recent past

Might need a comma after 'advice'.
