What tragic news.
Puts things into perspective, following a crap footy team is not really that important.
Thoughts with Brett and family.

Like most here, I remember when the kid was born. I didn't have kids then. I do now. Can't imagine what the rattens are going through....

Awful news. I recall him being in the papers last year because of his antics, but this is just tragic. Condolences to the Ratten family.

That is just horrific and horrible news. My heart goes out to Brett, a true Carlton champ.

Horrible, wish no parent ever had to experience this sort of thing.

Why don't these kids ever learn.

Very sad and tragic.

Condolences to The family.

As an educationalist who has spent a large part of his life with adolescents, I'm first filled with anger because the community provides education about risk taking behaviour and poor choices that people of my generation didn't have.

What f#%%^% me more is (and I tell my own students this) that there will be tears, hugs, flowers, dark sunglasses etc amongst his school mates over the coming days, but sadly...little will change...maybe for Cooper's friends it might, but the majority who were not directly affected will continue to think they are invincible

Condolences to Brett and family. I have a 16 year old son as well. Your grief right now is unfathomable to the rest of us

RIP Cooper

Condolences to the Ratten family as well as to the other two families who will have their lives changed forever by such a shocking chain of decisions
