Dunno if that's the wisest idea AGRO :-P

That'd be like me walking up to a mafia boss, telling him if he wants anyone to rock up to his pizza shop this w/e, he better promise not to touch my family... then give him a wink, a shoulder slap and walk off.

Watch him then kill my family, make pizza out of them and offer me a free meal just to prove a point.

Out:

Murphy (soreness)
Cripps (Managed)

Im flying up to watch the game with the family.
It will cost me 4 airfares, travel, food and accommodation.

If the game is a farce that will be the end of interstate games for me and my family...because it also cost me time...having wasted it on a game the AFL own in everything about it in every way.

Come on Blues... lets win this one!

2% .. not going to happen.. we would have to lose by 50 points. But Mitch could have a blinder against his old club.

But if they win by 25, we lose by 25.

If we lose 80-60 % are Carlton 66.55, Brisbane 66.43.

If we lose 85-60 % are Carlton 66.38. Brisbane 66.68.

Nice :donk:

I'll painfully take the honorable loss of under 30. With the kids getting some good touches.

Why does % matter at this stage?
We play hawthorn last round right? JB might be out to beat his own club record loss.

If Brisbane get Suckling as a FA as expected - their compo for Leuey should be reduced. Or even cancelled out.

I'm catching a free bus, have free game tickets, and will take some water and a banana to eat at halftime.

The Eagles game wasn't good.
The home games haven't been much better.
I just want to see effort and a bit of the future.

Only wins we've seen this year is Saints in Wellington ...which we were going to but didn't after the crap served up vs WCE and just watched it on TV, Streamed game vs Port at Paris Airport, Gold Coast streamed game in Florence.

Beggars cant be choosers...plus I thought we'd win this one.

I do not believe the AFL will give Brissie picks 1 and 2. Yes, they're shifty. Yes, they love sticking it to us. Yes, they favor teams in "developing markets". But nonetheless they surely would want to see more people turn up to the games we play against the bigger Melbourne clubs; attendances there have been embarrassing. If they rob us of the opportunity to draft the KP player we so desperately need, it would go a long way towards killing the second oldest (behind Melbourne, marginally) and most successful club in the comp. And they know it.

As an aside, I actually think the Essendon** saga will have a hand in softening the AFL's approach to us. They know they can't save Essendon** from a prolonged period of crap, but they can and will take steps to ensure we are able to rebuild. The AFL needs at least one of us to be competitive.

This may be true but we won't know what is happening to Essendon* until after the GF and maybe not until the end of the year.
Your basic premise about the AFL needing at least one and preferably both of us firing s correct. When both are even moderately competitive we are a cash cow for them.
