I would doubt it ,there would be uproar and fights especially if the the fans were Arsenal,Chelsea or West Ham ( no love lost between spurs fans and the ones mentioned )

I'm also a spurs fan. Doomed in both comps.

I make fun of spurs as much as anyone, but they have been regularly in the top 5-6 teams for a while now, and they have never really been a power, a biggish London club is what they are. They won the double in the 60s but I can never remember them making a title run in the last 20-30 years.

Aston Villa/Nottingham Forest would be a more apt comparision to us as both were at one point genuine powers both in England and Europe.

But there is no real comparison, its different here with a salary cap and no relegation, meaning its almost to dominate as much as a big club in the UK but also you can't fall as far either.

Tottenham made a call to slowly build after watching Redknapp @#$%&! their chances of consistent CL football; once they have better stadium receipts in 3 years, they will give the top 4 a real shake.

If it happens before then, it will be down to good results, shrewd purchases and good development, not splashing everything to make a statement. They're playing the long game.

i didnt realize there was so much interest in my beloved Spurs. We dont have Oil Money,Russian Money popularity of Man U or Liverpool or a new stadium though it is coming ) but we have the best supporters in the EPL old fashioned supporters in England+ around the world not fly by nighters who watch them play home + away no matter how bad or good they are.Our supporters are similar to Richmond always hoping things will change.
