The two Nickey's should be back. Maybe Tex.

OUT: Tutt and who else?

I've been thinking this for a few weeks now. My Collingwood mates are about as happy as we are with the way their season is progressing.
Imagine a Carl/Coll game at the G with 40, 000. It could happen.

Yarran. He's already left, it seems. He's a glory boy. He will leave, go to WCE, be played HFF or wing and rip the comp a new one on the way to finals.
We could keep him by playing him forward of centre where he started. He will kick his bags of goals, do his indigenous dance without a spear, play better footy because they can't drag him to FB from there and get his personal jollies. He wins. Carlton wins. To me it's a no-brainer and I've been accused of having no brains before.

Completely agree with this.

If Cloke and Jessie White are out then no point having Rowe. Just not sure about Yarran, he is not the only one who has thrown in the towel so maybe shouldn't be singled out.

Out: Tutt, Rowe
In: Walker, Holman

I'd keep Yarran in. As disappointing as he has been, he was more committed last week and he and Tuohy are about the only guys willing to take an option forward of the ball rather than 20 metres sideways. And if we want to trade him, I'd rather he retain his spot than lose value as a reserves player.

If KJ still can't get a game there must be some issue. It doesn't seem to be talent and if it is lack of intensity, then it will be incredibly disappointing. He couldn't possibly be going any worse than Sam Rowe at the moment.

I'd give Watson a go, again if he is to be delisted play him a few games in defence one last time, what is the harm. And I'd like to see Jones in defence, see if we can get anything out of him.

Wood is a good battler but he is a liability up forward. Unless they use Big K as a ruck rover, I'd drop Wood. Whiley possibly is the only reserves player who deserves a game but I am not sure whether having him in the same side as Carazzo and Curnow is much benefit.

Be interesting to see what JB does. If he reckons a handful of players are not putting in, it means anyone he drops will be seen as one of those handful.

Drop Wood and they have to play Casboult as second ruck, depriving us of our only marking forward option. I think we're much better was Casboult up forward - interesting how when he plays forward he is taking #1 defender.... the opposition cares not for henderson.

True but Casboult is an okay ruckman and he needs to get more involved in the game. If he runs in the ruck 25%, big K would be forward. Wood is an average ruckman and a liability up forward. On Saturday we tried to press North and stop them moving the ball from defence quickly, but Wood was too slow to be effective up forward which gave North an out every time.

Out: Henderson Yarran (disinterested) Tutt (Not up to it) Carrazzo (Cooked and ready to umpire) Menzel Smith (Cant have Menzel BB & Smith in same side. Not one of them can run out a half of footy)

In: Anyone fit and keen to play. Options Walsh Whiley Graham Holman Jaksch Dick

Henderson disinterested?
14 disposals against Hawthorn with 8 marks including 3 contested which is equal second highest from either side. In a team that had 32 inside 50s for the game.
This week, 11 disposals, 5 marks, 4 tackles, 90.9% disposal efficiency in the worst forward line in the AFL that had 37 inside 50s to work with.

A bit harsh I would have thought.

Didnt it happen last year? It was the Sunday night game and it was awful weather, I think Eddie wanted compensation.

Hendo isn't disinterested, he is just playing like shit and lacking physicality. Play him in defence and pick Jaksch forward. If it isn't working, swap them around.

I don't think we need a particularly tall backline for this match, so as much as I love him, drop Rowe. He is out of form.

Jamison and Henderson as key backs (like it always should have been) with the usual blokes supporting them.

Casboult, Everitt and Jaksch forward.

Dunno what to do about Yarran. Can't see anything changing for him until he wants it to. All about attitude.

Graham an auto-selection if he is fit. Holman would be good to have in as a mid/fwd too.

So when he backs into packs, he's lacking physicality?

I agree with all of that.

With Boekhorst or Smith as FP

In the matchday thread, I said as much a few minutes into the 2nd quarter just after he'd taken his 3rd contested mark and someone said he's "disinterested" (probably meaning "uninterested"). At that point, I thought he was close to our best player.

These are memes and people just take them on (not knowing they're memes - that's how memetics works). Examples of memes:

1. Henderson and Yarran aren't interested.
2. You bought a jeep??
3. Not happy Jan!
4. Barker can't coach (was already around BEFORE Malthouse was sakced).

There are lots of them if you look. They have no real basis, no one really knows where they came from - except maybe the commercial ones (2 & 3), but they're now in the culture.
