Is there anything more disappointng or that shows what a mess we are. The blokes shouldn't play again.

Barker: "The Carlton Football Club needs to grow a playing group that wants to play for the Carlton Football Club."

I hope Barker is given a mandate to drop anyone whose effort was not up to snuff in the view of the coaches. I could stomach 6-7 changes if the culprits have their weekend ruined by kicking the dew off the grass.

And of course, we play Lions the week after.

can't blame then for not trying if they're told in April they're not wanted.

There's no doubt of it.

They are not tanking. GC want to finish the year off positively.

Yep. GC don't need the talent. Just struggled cause of injuries - they don't really need to tank for a good pick. They need more mids anyway according to Eade.

Blind Freddy can see what's going on at the mighty blues.
How far we have fallen....
Excellent environment.. It's not the players.. Even though to the naked eye it seems like the players all want to leave because they're treacherous... Yes the players seem that way

But the club is rotten and stinks..

Gold Coast have a stronger percentage than us so the draw doesn't really make a difference.
I still think we will come 3rd last - it will be very hard to lose against the Lions in a couple of weeks. They are in tank mode with Beams out for the season now.

Better roll up the sleeves and get in there and fix it then.

Usual culprits spewing their negative bullsh*t on here.
Yawn!!
Cripps was top notch tonight (apart from his goal kicking efforts)
Murph busted a gut
Kreuz again put in.
Love how Bucks stood up to that tool Thomas...

Just back from the game. Terrible crowd. Blues have never needed support more than now if we are going to survive long term - I know all the TV supporters will tell me they have torn up their members ticket and think the club's pathetic. Anyway not a lot to be interested in apart from the second quarter. I thought they at least had a plan they tried to stick to, but when one player doesn't cover an opponent it all falls down. I thought we tried pretty hard but we are way down on talent. Yarran was better and more interested than previous weeks, but it is disappointing he doesn't star as he has the talent. BB was good, worked hard off the ball, was willing to take the ball and the tackle and is looking more comfortable at this level. Curnow might lack skill but runs himself into the ground and was good on Harvey. Rowe looks terrible at the moment. Hendo was better than the last few weeks. Bucks was good. Seemed to start Bucks and Simmo on the bench each qtr, not sure why. Murph has been very good when we have been very bad. Cripps very good, but his inability to kick simple set shots is very disappointing, missed two again tonight and has missed half a dozen over the last month or so - no excuse for any AFL footballer to consistently miss easy set shots, and don't get me started on Everitt's decision to try a set shot snap from 15 meters out, on a slight angle.

I like the look of Clem Smith, doesn't mind a jostle, but also showed enormous courage in backing into a pack and showed great pace. Has a future.

Would Watson be any worse in defence than Rowe at the moment? At least he can kick.

Too often we take the very short and lateral option, we need to take longer options when offered.

Cam Wood is an admirable trier but he played a lot as a key forward, and he is a liability when it hits the ground. Menzel barely got near it

We look like a bottom side nearing the end of a long season. Unlikely to win another for the year, not because we are tanking but because we are no good.

They did it once...

We've been to the same well many times and still have SFA to show for it...

What do they say about repeating the same behaviours to expect a different outcome?

Loved the energy he brought when he came on.
Needs a summer in the gym to turn his chub into muscle and also work on his tank.
BB showed a bit early too.
These little glimpse of the future are the things worth seeing during this dark period.

Official award for the most pointless stat tonight goes to Wet Willie.

Firrito Goldstein Tarrant Thomas Wright Del Santo Garner Gibson Turner had 5 tackles between them and Cripps had 6. Does that make the Roos bad and Carlton good?
