Interesting that the AFL says a body shot will not be suspended even if the player spends considerable time in the hands of the trainers (Cripps v GC) or leaves the ground in distress (BB), while an innocuos arm glancing the head is worth two weeks. Be great if all junior players on the weekend turn to an unsuspecting opponent and belt them in the guts, it is what the AFL is encouraging. The tribunal is a farce. If only we had anyone who could belt Gibson a few times in the last round. We wd all chip in for the fine. Alas we have no one with any mongrel

BV raised perspective and the Hawks drubbing of the Saints last year. The Saints copped some awful hidings in 2014 - ag Hawks 175/30, Crows 141/62 and 136/50 C'wd 140/54 and remarkably to us 151/66. So things are never quite as bad as they seem. If we draft really well and have luck we might start to turn things around over the next couple of years.

And our massive loss was to a side that beat Sydney and Freo (top 4 lock-ins) by a combined total of 27 goals the previous two weeks.

Essendon* smashed Hawthorn in their equivalent game. Not the point. You wanna stop being picked on, you pick the biggest kid in the school yard and rip into him with everything you have. 9 times out of 10 he backs off, and even if you do happen to lose nobody else goes near you.
