make a guy puke by punching him in the guts off the ball after already being fined for the same incident = another fine.

mis-time a spoil in a legitimate marking contest = 1 week off.

AFL can GAGF.

Nick Holman can accept 1 game for striking Luke Breust.
Josh Gibson can accept $1500, striking Blaine Boekhorst.

What a joke, but did we expect anything else?

I'm pretty happy that Gibson thought enough of BB to strike him.

The NRL always have more competitive seasons than us.

Reason- clubs can rebuild quickly with only a salary cap in place.

Scrap the draft for players that have 2 or more years experience.

Carlton, Melbourne, Brisbane all should get priority picks....but I am sure the AFL will just look at assisting Brisbane. Watch out for Brisbane alone getting the priority pick.

Once again the argument will be "Carlton is a rich club...they can fend for themselves" overlooking the fact Carlton is five million in debt as opposed to having 5-10 million plus in the bank like West Coast, Hawthorn and Collingwood. Yet again the carcass of Carlton is fed upon year after year.

And right on queue the following day AFTER I posted this comment above Robert Walls leads the chorus of people wanting Brisbane to get priority picks. Next it will be their president and their CEO.

Interesting to see Walls has no concern for the club he once played for.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/b ... ikwkd.html

Where is his concern for Carlton?

Carlton has had a longer period of losses and more losses than Brisbane over the last 10 years, but I am sure for the AFL that is of little consequence compared to their concern for the "frontier" club of Brisbane.

The merry-go-round continues...

What do you expect with Mark Evans plus Sewell and Harford on match review panel.

Fair enough for Holman. But Gibson gets off, what a @#$%&! joke. I expect to see outraged articles in the papers tomorrow, plus a Carlton spokesperson on radio and tv lacerating the tribunal. Oh, and porkers will be seen flying over Princes Park.

Howler of a decision on Gibson. Pre meditated strike to the guts which caused BB to leave the ground. Plain as day on the video and all commentators agreed that Gibson was in trouble. So WTF ??

Add that to the even worse decision to let Mitchell off with that last kneeing off the ball. So what is going on ?

Did the MRP get a medical report from Carlton regarding Boekhorst?

Yep and they deemed contact on Boek low impact.

So either we let Hawrhorn off easy or they screwed us over with theirs on holman to get medium.
