Listening to the radio earlier and they were talking to someone whose name I missed about how the umpires were instructed to pay more frees to reduce stoppages prior to this round. When asked if if was successful the answer was "well look at how many goals were scored last night".

I went horrid night but saw a scintilla of light thought Bokehorst had his best game -didn't look like a deer in the headlights -got a lot to learn but took a good mark and goal -also more purposeful with disposals
Like goal and mark because about 5 mins before tried to take mark of the year -went early and did affect contest 5 mins later took good mark and goaled
Cripps played well and despite the heat and being murdered at the coal face did well
Holman also showed glimpses
Buckley whilst shocking a couple of times with disposal -really did a job on roiling who really didn't impact the game like he has the last 2 and Buckley did fantastic tackle on that bloody poppy and umpire said too high shocking
Murphy did really well last night too

PS we are shocking at the moment but umpires murdered us

yep. and yet, Rioli's near decapitation of Simmo was apparently legal

even Clarko couldn't have the Buckley free kick !

I wouldn't hold out much for Knockers Carrazzo Thomas or Menzel either and Walker is doubtful these days. Gibbs has been poor this year as well.

Heartbreaking game. I can't remember ever feeling our players being so incompetent.
Our last 2 years of trades came home to roost last night. Just terrible and not worth rehashing.
It's going to be a very painful 2 years to come but hopefully by cleaning up the coaching panel, we will see some inroads from 2016. In SOS we trust now.

Btw, the kid Holman goes alright, beautiful disposal under pressure to boot and bloody shows a ticker. Was really interesting to watch who came in to support the kid when he needed it as well.

Not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing that the only ones who backed him up were Bucks and Cripps.

We were so great before that?

Try looking at the 2009/10/11 drafts... the players that were supposed to be at their peak right now... almost all de-listed/traded out

The time of scapegoats needs to end now... we've been poor for a lot longer than 2 years

They even sent a forward scout here. He's in the background of the Walker mark on Carlisle.

Win lose or draw, Gold Coast are not going to damage their percentage too much.

Which is good for us.

Agree with others. BB showed a bit. Umps were horrible.

Liked Holman's effort. Not yet convinced he's got enough AFL attributes.

Because this approach has really worked for us.

If we need to bend over some clubs in the up coming trade period we need pick 1 in the draft and the pre-season draft.

Whether or not our picks in the past have worked for us or not is largely irrelevant.

It's a bit like advertisements for managed superannuation funds, past performance is not a guarantee of future performance.
