Don't think Yarran deserves to play. It was frustrating watching mope around the backline at half pace.

Its not Tutt's fault he is being selected, please match committee don't select him this week.

Yarran - 25 possesions. 8 marks. 7 tackles. 130 supercoach points.

You should stop listening to brain dead commentators just looking for a story. Do something different and dont follow the views of people on here with no idea and the media crakheads and you might see things different.

He might be playing injured because from what I saw, he could barely get a jog up compared to his usual dash. Did you think he played with his previous dash? Did he play with intensity? Was he creative with his kicks or did he just play sideways? Did he look to give and go to create space? Did he remain flat footed after his poor disposal to let others clean up the mess? Did the commentators mention any of this?

I can't remember the last time he took a run and bounce, it's a great weapon so where has it gone?

Everytime l saw him play, he had an opponent on him 5m away or a zone ahead of him. 36 players in the space of 50m is pretty hard to break through from the backline. There is no point Yarran taking a bounce from the back line to kick it to no one, when our forwards are at the centre bounce area with their zone D. Plus you are playing Freo, one of the best defenses going around. Opposition coaches basically would plan every week to shut down yarrans run. He is our only dangerous player on the team. You really want to play Yarran on the HFF if you want to maximize his speed when the zone defense is broken.

Maybe you should listen to commentators, if this is your best work in justifying why someone should get dropped. I don't think you get 25 possessions and 7 tackles if you lost your dash.

Good post Goltz. (never thought I'd say those words together in that order in a sentence..)

Walker ruled out again and Carrazzo not mentioned in the injury report. I can't see us having the balls to drop Yarran & Menzel for this one, so the only change for mine is-

In: Jaksch
Out: Rowe

We may decide to 'protect' Jaksch from the Hawks, but I would like us to put him in while he's in decent form. Play him forward and see how he goes. Casboult to play as #2 ruckman. Having said all that, I won't be surprised if we go with Rowe, Watson or Jones instead of Jaksch.

I also won't be surprised if Fields gets dropped. I'd be happy to persist with him for a bit longer, but they may decide to bring in Dick or perhaps another mid (Whiley?).

Sad to see Byrne injured again. Second hammy so leave him on ice to be ready for pre season. Could be a huge bonus in 2016.

Out: Fields, White, Menzel, Tutt
In: Jaksch, Dick, Boekhorst, DVR

FB: Dick Rowe Jamison
HB: Docherty Henderson Tuohy
C: Curnow Carrazzo Simpson
HF: Bell Everitt Buckley
FF: Jaksch Casboult Yarran

RR: Kreuzer Cripps Murphy

Int: Boekhorst Holman Walsh

Sub: DVR

Give Boekhorst and DVR a taste of where their fitness goals should be at. Give Menzel a spell; Fields has had his taste, while it can be White's turn to sit out and give another structure a go.

EDIT: Forgot to put Buckley in the team.

I just don't think playing Jaksch against the Hawks is wise. Unfortunately the NB's have a bye so it's a tough call. Maybe Jakchs for Fields is an option. Menzel may be an out as he has a corkie  . If not it's an excuse to not play well or tackle. Make him sub.

Like to see Whiley, Dick and Smith get a go just not this week. I hope Walsh gets a full game.

Even Macca is playing along with the "pretend menz is injured so no one catches on to the fact he's no good" act.

I'd like to see Jaksch asap. He is part of our future and needs to be played as much as possible. Back or Forward.

Is it worth waiting a week? A bad game against Hawks could be damaging. Tough call

Let Jaksch play if Menz doesn't. We'll need a replacement whipping boy for the week.

Like a lot of players, Menzel at a good club would already be a gun.

Psych said Menz's corkie is just an excuse for when he doesn't play well or tackle.

Clearly Macca is just perpetuating the myth that Menz is injured to absolve him of criticism.

Well, you know Psych's mail is impeccable and, not only can he analyse behaviour, he can read minds. Glad you've finally started taking notice.

He won't get whipped if he shows something
It appears every week he has something wrong with him and spends time in the dugout getting some treatment.
Im starting to think he is a bit of a pretty boy with no ticker.

I'm really not surprised at all that you do think that

But let's not forget the hate KJ got after round 1 even after it was revealed he played with broken ribs.

Unfortunately if someone is criticised for their play or are deemed not good enough by supporters they are are seen as a whipping boy or even hated. Stupid comment that is very generic and generally wrong.

As for Jaksch I just the impression he is still learning and growing into AFL football. Definitely has the football smarts and some very good skills.
