Most on here probably won't agree but I'd send Hendo back and bring Jones in to play forward again.

It's what we brought Jones over here for and we have him for 3 years. May as well give him a run and find out. He hasn't played under Barker yet and no one could get a kick up forward under Mick.

AFL as a game is rooted. Please, add more rules and interpretations this season and next too!! The umpires, players, commentators and fans all have no idea what is going on. They have stuffed it with overlapping rule after rule - and this is the spectacle we get.

On carlton, that went about as expected. We just don't have enough talented players, that's what happens when you miss so many 1st and 2nd round draft picks over an extended period.

So our skills are poor and we are left with players like Tutt, Bell, Army and co who have glaring deficiencies that just can't cut it.

Hendo smashed up forward, proved how good he can be down back but we all know this.
Menzel couldn't get a sniff, if he isnt training, why isn't he recuperating?
Yarran has lost his head.
Curnow, Carrots, White, Army, Bell, Tutt, wood, Casboult all are poor field kicks. You just can't expect to be a good team with so many bad kicks.

It will take a few years

First of all, AFL is not a game.
Second, Casboult did not miss a kick tonight and also landed a nice 30 metre pass on is left side. His field kicking has never been an issue more than anybody else, unlike his shooting for goal, which is now not so much of an issue. I can understand why posters have favourite players and favourite whipping boys alike but don't make shit up.

Ling and Carey saying Vickery's bump on Jamo was accidental! Accidental? He looked at Jamo, propped, and took him out. I wouldn't be surprised if he's got a broken jaw.

Yup. Beaten up tonight.

Trying to develop our left footer stocks with Holman and Fields. Grigg would be nice to have at our disposal right now.

Lack of run and polish cost us. Would've been a close result otherwise.

I'd go along with this. Bring in Jones or Watson, give 'em a few weeks, see what happens, nothing to lose.

Don't worry about only kicking 5 goals... We kept Richmond down to 10 goals for the night after losing jamo early and no Rowe. No name young backline and lacking height. Could have been worse...

Yeah, and Kreuzer will probably get weeks for breaking Vickery's tooth.... :donk:

If he'd had been given a fair crack at it when he was here he'd still be here.
Richmond pounced on a player with a lot of upside that was not being developed at Carlton. He has turned into one of the better outside players in the comp. Last year he was up in the leading outside possession winners on raw stats. He'll have the last laugh. Those on ere who spent two years posting how we got the better deal with Collins must enjoy watching Grigg play. Not.
Hampson had a good game tonight. I haven't seen the hit outs but my gut feeling is he beat Wood and Kreuzer. I liked him as a player but he doesn't put consecutive good games together.

3-4 changes every week hasn't helped but boys looked tired tonight and our poor skill level came to the fore again

Barker: "Skill isn't something you can change overnight. It hurts when you can't put the scoreboard pressure on"

That should have been the 5th talking point.

Kreuzer was the biggest positive for mine. Also liked our tackling overall and how we managed stay competitive in the last quarter & a half when it looked like it was going to blow out in the 3rd quarter.

We were always going to be up against it tonight, so the result was about what I expected. In fact, I thought it might have got worse than it did.

Disappointing, frustrating etc. But it's where we are at. More pain ahead too.

Yaz ..... lost the plot ...... lost it weeks ago ...... starting to be useless
Kruz ..... great mark ...... sorry man in front gets it (didn't touch it) but pay the man in front
Henderson ..... play him CHB and be done with it

THEM
Grigg ..... could have won us a final once but pressure was too much for him. Richmond will find this out later on.
Hampson ..... took more marks tonight than all his years at Carlton

Why send Gibbs back out if his pectoral is torn?! FFS!!! Our tendency to take medical risks hasn't changed
