Because Footymedia.

I don't imagine it's an authorised list or that we should believe it to be 100% accurate.

I like the Fagan possibility - has been at hawthorn for 2 rebuilds and had absolutely every job possible. Coached at tassie and won a flag like Bolton. Footy manager at Hawthorn so good management skills which is paramount for coaching these days.

Know Chris Fagan personally, great guy, smart, good people skills and very direct. Quality candidate. Not sure he is interested in head coaching role though.

Maybe take McKay's position??

That would be a very astute move.

Carlton maintain they will follow the thorough process they have established in order to find their new coach – despite the momentum being built by caretaker John Barker.

A long-time assistant coach at St Kilda, Hawthorn and the Blues, Barker has built a strong rapport with the Carlton players, and they are enjoying his more attacking game plan.

The Blues have consistently improved in the three weeks under his stewardship, culminating in a win over Port Adelaide on Saturday.

This has prompted Barker to be among the bookies' favourites to claim the job permanently, but the Blues are adamant they will stick to the process outlined last week which involves a five-man sub-committee dissecting several candidates.

They are expected to include Swans assistant Stuart Dew and North Melbourne counterpart Leigh Tudor, while Hawthorn football operations manager, the highly respected Chris Fagan, and former Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson are reportedly set to have their interest tested.

Lyon said he is not leaving Freo. Sheldon just asked him about what type of coach we should be looking for, and also about Simon Lloyd.

They catch up regularly apparently.

Phew, mis game style is so boring.

I find losing to be quite boring too.

Hasn't been able to get his teams over the line yet, but you can't argue they don't win their share of games.

I want a coach that has played AFL footy. Except Sanderson.

I reckon Lyon is a great coach......just not suited to us.
For some reason the Pagan,Malthouse, types just don't fit our club.
Don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
Just the vibe!

If we got Simon Lloyd does Matthew instantly become a fan?

I'm not sure I could deal with that sort of weirdo world.
