MM's gameplan is looking more ridiculous by the week

Missed big chunks of the game, but still managed to watch the last. Cracking game and great intensity.

Who played on Schultz? Very good effort to quell his influence.

Rowe shut him down, big strides for him today

Cripps should win rising star seeing as carrazzo is ineligible he is an absolute beast of a unit best recruiting/draft decision in a long time. Loved the game saving mark by Docs at the end there. Graham - whom I've always thought may not be up to it today proved me wrong. 4 holding the ball decisions. 4. Great tackling great want for the ball. Also loved Buckley's triple effort in the 3rd quarter that caused an eventual ball up.

Also loved when the umpire took the mark in the second quarter was right in front of us from a port free to a throw in which we scored a goal from.

Barker decision to rest Kreuz at the start of the last had me guessing but good decision to take wood off as sub and put Kreuz on for the rest of the game.

Great gutsy win!

But stupid to bring on Walker and just use him as s forward, effectively playing one short in the last quarter.

We had a bit of a lead and maybe he hoped Walker would be able to have an impact and help extend the margin.

Just got home from the game, first one I've been to in ages. Sam Rowe was on him most of the time and towelled him up. I think Rowe deserves more credit than he's getting for today's performance. Fought with everything he had all game and made a lot of intercepting marks in the defensive 50. Well played.

Echo the thoughts on Cripps, Bell etc. Terrific fight from the boys across the board.

Super happy today? Is Barker the genius young coach Blueman was always going on about?

I think Mick was diabolical by the end. I have a theory we always started each season badly because we tried to play the Mick way, then that got modified to a happy balance to incorporate our strengths, except this year he dug in.

The side can go somewhere, keep playing like this, we can win at least 5 in the back half of the year, pending injuries.

Get Jamo back will help further.

Also note how much better we have been with Kreuze in the team. Murph is also playing like pre Mick Murph.

Not knowing whether Barker is coaching next year is very destabilising for the players

Think its worth pointing out how good Travis Boak was in that last quarter for them. Nearly single handedly dragged a lifeless uninspiring team over the line in the last. Probably the best individual effort I've seen all year. Unlucky.

Yes he was very good. In saying that, his last goal, which was massive, came when Murphy was coming off injured. I suspect we would have had the extra number at the stoppage if Murph hadn't come off. But regardless great effort by Boak as you said. He's a gem.

What a fantastic win / performance. The perfect time for a boost in confidence. Needed this for the players to believe in themselves. Watching Cripps, Bell, Graham and Buckley running around doing that bought a huge smile on my face for many reasons. Henderson kicking the final goal when it mattered, as leaders do, was something as well!!!

Waisted season unfortunately but I'm not looking back.
