Why do we need a 3rd mature ruckman when we only plan to play one in the senior side? Rejuvenate.

Have read that there isn't much as far as rucks are concerned in this years pool.
We are probably grabbing one of the big American lads as a project.
Rejuvenation should have started two years ago but we needed an instant ruckman and Wood was it. Was there a better option at the time? I guess we'll never know.

Apparently, we didn't bring Aurrichio over, but I'd be interested to hear from anyone who watched Claremont today, and next week (on 7mate/7 in WA). There might be a kid worth us looking at there. ;)

Season now. Bradley Walsh might actually get promoted now.

2 x 'season', 1 x 'Retired', 1 x 'indefinite' and another on '9 weeks'. Team is rebuilding on the bottom of the ladder and widely criticised for having few youth prospects coming through. If now is not the hour for a rookie to put their hand up, I don't know what is!

....I dunno, give the rookie draft some credit.. ..these rookies past and present have all played plenty of senior games for us this year, plus all the other long gone rookies of the last decade or so..

..Jamo, bell, bolt, Curnow, touhy, wood.. ....this is part of our problem, we have the most success with the rookie draft, which in it's way drags the overall quality down.. ..over the years almost a third of the best 22 has been initially off of the rookie list..

Or maybe that fact that we have been so ordinary in the ND means that rookies are getting more of a look in with us..

..of course, all part of the same situation.... ..which is why we are off the pace, and have been for years.... ..zero depth, because too much of our depth is already playing seniors..

Sounds like Giles is coming off the LTI in the coming weeks and it's after round 11, so we have room for 5 rookie elevations for 8 of the remaining 11 games, and 4 for the final 3, one of which will be taken by Byrne.

If we're serious about the long-term potential of the 6 rookies vying for the 5 spots, we really should be putting a line through Johnson and consider Gowers to be at the back of the pack in terms of senior selection this year, in which case the whole thing picks itself with Gowers getting the Sheehan elevation if he's in line for selection.

In reality, I think we'll see a bit of Walsh and Fields and that will be it. Give Russell & Johnson the flick at the end of the year because neither have enough to work with long-term.

Has Judd been put on the LTI list ?

If not, what would be the situation with his contract re payment and its relevance to this year's tpp ?

Given he has retired due to injury, it gets turned over to part of the calculations of an insurance payout I think. I doubt that would discount his contract in terms of the TPP much, if at all.

But for LTI list purposes, he is an LTI.
