..the team doesn't (hopefully didn't now) have enough two way runners, so Curnow had big value because he ran hard all game long.. ..his skills are average and due to his huge work ethic at times the average skills are pushed further.. ..I do understand you can't have too many on the list, but others before him can be booted..

bit injured i'd reckon.

Missed a fair bit footy.
Judge him later in the year. Hopefully works himself into some form.

..it was reported early in the year that because he missed so much preseason, he'd be chasing match fitness all year.. ..he should catch up towards the end of season.. ....i'd play him as a high hf..

Joel Selwood think Curnow is pretty good. Every club has a run-with player. Curnow is a very good one.

BS has this one spot on.

Both teams have struggled on the outside this year. Polec and now White injured and Hartlett out of form; we might be a slight chance to push them.

Their forward line is still potent and Wingard was brilliant against Geelong.

Lobbe was smashed in the ruck last week, albeit mostly due to Blicavs and the exploiting of the third-man up rule.

Yarran too.

I know port are in poor form, but I just have this feeling that old carlton could return after new coach honeymoon is over.

..drop wood, run krooz thru the middle and just rest him on the bench, bolt to back up.. ....we will need as many running players as possible working hard both ways between the arcs.. ..hendo stays at chf for this very reason too.. ..mobile forward set up with only bolt playing the big power forward role, let Hendo roam further up the field.. ..everitt and walker and yarran and menz ought to be the other forwards..

Like that idea

Out: Wood, Judd, Carrazzo
In: Jamieson, Gibbs, Yarran

Gibbs, Yarran, Jamison, Byrne for Judd, Wood, Tutt and Buckley is my guess.

Byrne hasn't played since round 3 at any level.

Bucks can't be dropped.

I think very few TCers fit the mould of this 'perfect idiot' you're describing.

Sorry, Jim but where did I say I was describing a perfect idiot? I think you're mixed up with someone else's post..

Why emphasise that he is a nice guy tagger? Is that helping us win games? Because he is unlikely to get suspended or get his jaw broken and that is a good way to stay on the park. But you're right. It isn't that relevant in the scheme of things.

Where has anyone called him a hack? I haven't got the inclination to trawl through the entire Talking players thread or all the post match ones either but if I were to do so I could find you a few examples I'm sure. Perhaps you might take the time yourself.

What sport did you play at an elite level? (You may have mentioned before but I can't remember)
No. I've never mentioned it or given any hints. We're entitled to remain anonymous here aren't we?

McKay said Byrne would be considered for senior selection on Tuesday, so it could happen.

I'd like to see:

Out: Judd, White, Carrazzo, Tutt, Wood
In: Gibbs, Jamison, Yarran, Byrne, Boekhorst

Will probably see:

Out: Judd, White, Tutt
In: Gibbs, Jamison, Yarran

Carlton Ring of Honour inductee – Jim Buckley

Carlton’s three-time premiership player Jim Buckley will deliver the match ball to umpires before being inducted to the Carlton Ring of Honour.

Buckley played 164 games and kicked 146 goals for the Blues between 1976 and 1990. He played in the premierships of 1979, 1981 and 1982, won the best and fairest in 1982, and was inducted into the Carlton Hall of Fame in 2000. A country boy from Kyneton, Buckley was known for being a hard and loyal player for Carlton.

Jim is also the father of Dylan Buckley, who was recruited to the Blues with a father-son selection in 2012 and will be lining up against the Power for his 16th AFL game.

Only fair on the kids that you get the best seats available. Reckon there'll be a bullrush once the gates open for this one.

I for one pity the poor MCC members who'll be braving the cold from sparrows....
