Driving down near the zoo yesterday and one of the ovals behind the zoo still has its goals up. So i stopped and had a kick and a run around.

Hoping to be able to get a shot on the hff similarly to the first two games where i was able to shake a loose opponent and kick a couple of goals :)

Didn't mind playing deep in the backline either to clear the ball any which way. Really looking forward to this.

No team will be posted till about 2pm on the day.

You saw what happened last time, with too many blokes pulling out. Throw in too many unknown blokes to pigeon hole into a position, I'll make the decisions on the day.

i too barrack for cammo!!!!

there are four or five grounds just off royal parade, the street before brunswick road, and i know for a fact that cricket is only played on one of these each week....so yeah, they are available as far as im aware. bloody good grounds too.....

training? sweet......very keen to see this forward line in action too.....maybe hopefully possibly we can get the entire forward line to the training session and if we are feeling ambitious we could work on some positioning.......yes.....positioning......

also everyone remember to bring a drink and sunscreen this time.....i learnt the hard way in the last game....was booked in to get my sleeve finished on my arm but had to pull out due to sunburn and still havent been able to book in again as im still waiting for it to heal.

on the good side, since the SS game i've been running every day and pumping the weights, keen to get into these clowns...lol.....lets cause some damage boys......

oh and someone should videotape the game too.

@#$%&! legend, Nicko.

Love your work!

Good to see a few blokes getting themselves physically prepared for the match. While I haven't been pounding the pavement, I have been hitting the weights and polishing up the skills down at Mitcham these past 2 weeks.

Training will be on the 4th at Glenferrie Oval before the SS/HHQ game.
Seems like most people are happy with that.

No worries, Fish.

Just as long as you're all good for the 18th at Glenferrie then we have no dramas.

And just when we give up on the Lexus Centre and confirm the 18th at Glenferrie, Collingwood call back Tess over at Nicks to tell her we can have the ground and the bar if we want, on the 11th.

Not happy.

At the moment I'm seeing if it can be changed.

still a chance i could come.

just looked on the net and i can get to melb for about $210 return, plus another $25 in transfers to the city, then some met cards so about $250 all up plus food and drinks.

would probably cost me $400-$500 for the weekend depending how crazy i go.

plus a day of work on monday to get home.

i'll keep thinking about it.

probably not the smartest move right before exmas but we will see.

might see if i can find my old head gear aswell. then i can dive into the packs a bit more.

man i haven't kicked a footy in 6 years! might be a bit rusty.

Awesome work, Gez.

You will be TC's first interstate recruit.

EDIT - Hold your horses, everyone. Very good chance Lexus may still be on the cards. Sorry for stuffing everyone around with the venue, but if we can get the ground and bar at Lexus Centre for free, we'd be stupid to pass it up.

Dunno yet, Gez.

Might be the 11th if we get the Lexus Centre.

Well just too add to the excitement boys and girls......

James Bond and I popped down to Monash Uni on Monday arvo for a kick.

Nice day, about 27, 1.5 hours of kicking etc.

I am happy to offer my services down back, however, my set shots from 35 weren't too bad considering I don't play competitive football. About 75%. Surprised me big time.

Anyway PJ, can't believe Carlton supporters wait until the last minute to get fitter and pump weights, the club could call on anyone of us at anytime, and we must be ready too serve at any notice. (ha ha).

James Bond has cut back on his Kernels special herbs and spices and will be in tip top shape (so he says).

4th for training would be great. 11th or 18th would not be a problem.

looking forward

Sensational work, Barnesy and Jimmy.

Can always do with a few more defenders.

What are your respective height and weight?
