Id trade murph before Daisy.

1. Because we won't get much for Daisy
2. Daosy has more leadership than murph.
3. It'll force us to get a new captain

As per old el paso commercial, why not have both? :)

I'd trade murphy for a first rounder

Daisy for a pick upgrade

And while we're at it throw in Gibbs to Adelaide for their first pick & the compensation pick they will get for Dangerfield.

I'd give Thomas away of some took 3/4 of his contract. That's the biggest issue.

We should send Murphy OR Gibbs and a steak-knife player to Adelaide for their Dangerfield compensation pick. Is that pick likely to be top 5?

Also, are there any young players of interest at a WA club, we could trade for Yarran? (We'd want their first round pick as well).

I think Yarran to WA is a real possibility. Doesn't look happy at the moment. WCE would be looking at an outside quick player like him to add to their workman like midfield.

A first round pick and maybe a young player would be worth it considering our current status.

We won't trade murphy or Gibbs. Although I wish we would.

Definitely not Murphy and probably not Gibbs. Although I would as well.

Henderson, Yarran & Menzel would be my options for right price. All have some value and IMO overrated by many. Get 3 extra picks under 20, maybe a young player and I would be very happy.

Maybe throw in Thomas or Jones as steak knives.

Then we'd have to inflate some more salaries to meet minimum player payments!
Fantastic idea!

my order of preference for trading for the few guys we have of any value would be:

menzel - trade for a high pick
Yarran - swap for player of equal value from freo/ eagles
Murphy - swap for a younger mid from gws or GC. they get experience and a mid in his prime, we go younger.
Henderson - 1st round pick, if not, keep.

Keep Gibbs.

but really breaking up the murphy & gibbs combo of our midfield is pretty much a must this offseason. seen enough from them to know we're never going far with both.

Be nice. Other bonus is it would free up a heap of room to bid for 2-3 gun players when we are ready and maybe we can then get some real leadership.

I'm sure I've read that Yarran has no interest in returning to Western Australia.

He may get an offer he can't refuse.

Gibbs and Menzel for mine both have the most currency.

I'd like to keep Yarran and Henderson, Murph too if he gives up captaincy.

Henderson, Murphy, Menzel, Yarran, Gibbs are the only ones on our list that have real currency. If we are serious about a rebuild we need to look at trading 1 or 2 of them. Personally I would trade Menzel and Henderson (already going IMO) but it all depends upon the deal.

Still having Kruezer, Gibbs, Simpson, Walker, Murphy, Touhy, Cripps, Docherty, Yarran, Bell is still a very solid core to build on.

I've swayed over to your side Psych but I was really annoyed with the MM GP.

I'm questioning your plan for a rebuild. Hendo Yarran and Menzel are still young. We can build a team as them as our core.

Walker Simpson and to an extent Murphy and maybe Gibbs are older than those you want to get rid of.

I don't understand where you are coming from anymore.

Start again. In your opinion:

What does rebuild mean to you?
How many players do we need to become a top 4 team?
What type of players? Positions, age and draft no.?

I think we have a bunch of quality young players we can build from and you want to sell some of them for unknowns. I mean the quality players for unknowns.

There must be a better way.
