The whole "politically correct" push (in regards to "racism") is one small cog in an integral part of a much larger agenda for (in part) the feminisation of men, and transgenderism, making its way into society via media, schooling and government. Welcome to the brave new world we're we are all the same, no color, no religion, no race, no sex, all one big happy family - if of coarse you keep your mouth shut and go with the plan ...

You wouldn't want people calling you a sexist, racist, religious bigot now would you?

I thought it looked a bit silly, had a laugh and moved on.

Without passionate people the world would be pretty mundane.

I hope he does it again.

Could say the same about Dustin Martin/Brendon Goddard et al with the handcuffs gesture.
Just expressing their bogan culture.

I remember they did Greek dancing before a game at Princes/Optus once some time in the 90s. That was pretty cool.

If Goodesy had decided to do his thing before the game as a bit of a haka style challenge it would have been completely devoid of controversy IMO.

Agreed.
Would've been awesome to have the whole Sydney team do it before the match

Yes, direct it towards the people you are actually going to battle against. I was one of the crowd who he ran aggressively at. I wasnt scared but rather insulted that he dared do that to me, a woman minding her own business. I wasnt his opponent so why do an intimidating dance directed at me? I am sorry but I was there, he challenged me.
It makes me sick that he gets away with so much that others don't.

This is a very confusing post.

So, do you like that "brave new world" or don't you? It's not clear from what you wrote.

Do you think it's good that everyone is the same - one big happy family? Or would you rather differences were highlighted, like Goodes did Friday night?

I actually don't have a view either way, but I'm trying to get what your view is.

Agree. This is an issue still to arise. At the moment it's all one way. How about about everyone treating each other equally and without any bias regardless of race, religion, colour etc. It's having everyone's ideas, beliefs etc being shoved down our throats that gets people off side. Not racism itself.

Yes and really why do women leave the kitchen...and why should Jews wear those funny little hats...and...well why can't we just all leave things alone...you know...like, let the Europeans rule and stuff...cos you know our culture is the only culture...and just cos it's hard for an Abbo to get a cab at night...or in the day for that matter...and just cos from childhood to adulthood, they die at twice the rate of other Australians, and just cos as children, they are seven times more likely to be under protective orders, and three or four times more likely to be failing to make the grade at school... And I mean it was years ago...at least the 70's since we took any of their children...and really we've almost considered them human since Gough was a Minister...and well, it's not my fault they want to live so far from where we built our cities (well those that survived at any rate, the others...what did happen to them?)...I mean I'm not racist but fair shake of the sausage, lets just get on with can't we.

And just cos as adults, they are 17.5 times more likely to be in jail than other Australians, and just 'cos in WA alone, Aborigines make up 2.7% of the adult population, but almost half the state’s prisoners...wait...why is that? Oh I know 'cos they are inherently evil...not like us whitey's, that's why we get a second chance...but them...Lock 'em up and good riddance I say....

Most Indigenous Australian fail all but one of the school benchmark tests conducted in years 3, 5 and 7 to test reading, writing and numeracy...but stick our kids out in the outback and see how we go...no...no much better to make them feel stupid...I mean they make up 2% (or more) of the population but less than 1% of University students so you know...what does that tell you... I mean they just can't fit in...is it my fault if they sometimes feel like strangers in their own land...I say, make them swear allegiance to our Queen, to our Gods...to our way of life...and as for job interviews well I would hire them, I would but well, Johnny's dad played footy with me and our kids both went to that school (eh old chaps, biffity buff) and besides...you can't ever really trust 'em..walkabout and all that...

Loo at any time, more than one in 50 indigenous adults are in jail. What does that tell you! The vast majority male...'cos we know why that is don't we. It's a bit like those stupid sheilas going on about the tax on tampons or wanting the same wages or the same representation..fair dinkum leave me alone..I like being on top of the pile so @#$%&! off the rest of ya.

Oh wait I know, sheilas, blackfellas, chinks... they carry on and on...really it's just cos they are hopeless isn't it... I mean why can't they just shut up and act like the rest of us...or else go back to where they came from!

Actually, if you believe what Goodesy says he should have done the dance before the game with Yarran, Walker, Jones and Jetta directed at the remaining Sydney and Carlton footballers.

Goodes action was aggressive.

Is it a stretch to say that the Carlton folk in the pocket were worried with what Goodes was going to do? Were they fearful?

He did reach the boundary line. Nup we were a weak club, an easy target. Lets see how it pans out for Goodes moving forward.

As I have mentioned in another post....the symbol of Nicky Winmar at Vic Park cut through and that image will forever remain, as for Goodes he can go on busting a move.

Fearful of what? The imaginary boomerang?

easy target, and whose fault is that?

Goodes could do what he did because Nicky did what he did, that's the importance of symbolism and gestures.

It was poorly timed, ill-directed, not well thought out piece of aggression. I'd say it had more in common with Yarran's punch or Wood's body slam on Selwood than anything Winmar did. I think you're devaluing Winmar's act by linking the two.

Basically Goodes is angry and wanted to take it out on someone while pretending he was promoting indigenous culture. Perhaps he even managed to fool himself into believing it.

I forgot, we can read each other's minds...Devalues Winmar's...surely that would be for Winmar to decide...I mean wasn't that part of his action? But no, we know best.
Actually it was perfectly timed look at the conversations its got us all having...

Has it been said Goodes was reacting to racist taunts in the crowd? You know, like Winmar rightfully did.....
