If Jamison, Murphy, Judd, Yarran and Menzel are fit:

Out: Jones, Walker, Carrazzo, Tutt, White
In: Kreuzer, Boekhorst, Judd, Murphy, Jamison

Give him a chance to play his game and not tag first.

Problem with Whiley so far, he's just so slow. So of thought, slow of action. I guess the only way to see if he's going to make it long term is to give him an extended run to see if it's something he'll overcome with comfort/exposure. But in doing so you're effectively going in one down. Not promising.

That flowering Carrazzo spud had 29 touches and 7 tackles the other night, how he gets a game in the bottom team in the AFL is totally beyond me. Totally.

So hard to digest.

haha

yeah, carrots was a real match winner.

He's a high half forward type; he's had his defensive apprenticeship and is running to the right spots more often; deserves another go. Was playing as a lead-up option during the time you're describing. Completely different player now, hunting the ball off the deck and making great runs for the receive.

He'll be a great midfielder for us.

Sorry but based on what evidence? Doesn't have the poise to play that position. Been tried amny times at that role and really struggled.

Classic type that needs to be played behind the ball and run straight and provide dash. Defender or nothing. Play him there the rest of the year. Poor kid needs a good run in that role and be allowed to settle in one position.

Buckley has 2 elements worth everything to our forward line now. They are energy and hardness. Play him there for 3 weeks, he will rub off on those around him

Leave Henderson in defence. Leave Jaksch in Defence ... lets start to get and develop our defence and not move them constantly.

I think we have the beginning of a decent defence.

Docherty - Jamieson/Rowe - Jaksch
Thouy - Henderson - Yarren/Simpson

I think Henderson gives us far more option as a CHB, and let Jaksch develop into the next Henderson.

Thouhy needs to be moved out of defence and further up the ground.
He is not the greatest defender out there and his foot skills are wasted being dragged deep all the time.
You are right thought lets develop and settle one part of the ground then move slowly up the ground

the idea of thouy and yarren is for them to be our rebounding defender etc.. if they are dragged back, its for the likes of Docherty/Jaksch to rotate with them ... though in Jaksch would be a liability in that type role ... (I rate Docherty and think he too could be a great rebounding defender)

I know that but I don't think Touhy is a good defender .
I'd would prefer to see him used further up the ground.
Hendo should never play forward again he is wasted up there and we are being robbed of seeing the development of one of the best defender's in the game.
I also think Gibbs is a better back aswell and Walker is twice the forward that he is a defender

fair enough. id actually wouldn't mind seeing thouy abit further up the ground because of two factors ... one he can kick a long goal which will put the opponents at odd i.e. they will either run towards Thouy making it easier for him to pass to a forward in a better position, or let him have a crack and he is great on the run 50+ out ...

its a win win for us.

I know he is injured but could you slot the other irish lad (Byrne?) who showed abit into defence to allow thouy/yarren to roam forward abit more ...

anyways ... yeah, lets get a really solid set up down back ... getting the no.1 pick this year looks like a fair chance for us, and all reports is the no 1 player is a seriously CHB player as well so him with Hendo with Jaksch upforward perhaps could work ...

You wanted Whiley in ahead of him, who mentioned him being a "match winner"??

nah, not me. i don't want whiley anywhere near the first team.

i'd take carrots ahead of whiley everyday. carrots at least talks out on the field.

Adelaide at the G on a Saturday afternoon will be worth seeing.

My wish:

B: Buckley Rowe Jaksch
HB: Docherty Henderson Simpson

Foll: Wood Curnow Graham
C: Boekhurst Cripps Everitt

HF: Thomas Casboult Bell
F: Murphy Kruezer Walker

Int: Armfield Whiley Tuohy Holman

Thomas can only play small forward. Suits Murphy as well.
Play Graham Cripps Bell Whiley Holman Tuohy through the midfield.
Curnow on Dangerfield
Walker as a mid forward. Kruezer at FF easing into ruck. He and Casboult make a contest
Buckley on Cameron. Docherty best match up on Betts
BB on MCG will suit

B: Tuohy Rowe White/Jammo
HB: Docherty Henderson Simpson

Foll: Wood/Kreuzer Judd Murphy
C: Curnow Cripps Yarran

HF: Menzel Casboult Bell
F: Everitt Jaksch Buckley

Int: Graham Whiley Thomas Boekhurst

Seems there's good chance Menzel and Yarran are going to be ok. Walker needs time to regain fitness in the NBs.

Only one of the two rucks. Casboult plays hs best when he gets his hands on the ball early in the ruck. Seems to help his confidence hence his game, both in the ruck and up forward. Confidence tends to disintegrate when he only stuck up forward.

I also believe Jaksch should become a fwd but don't believe he should come in now without playing as a fwd at VFL for awhile.

Tuohy. Rowe. Yarran.
Docherty. Jamo. Hendo.
Simmo. Graham. Thomas.
Bucks. Casboult. Bell.
Everitt. Kreuzer. Armfield.
Wood. Cripps. Judd.
Boekhorst. Carazzo. Walks.
Sub: Holman.

In Kreuzer. Jamo. Judd. Boekhorst. Holman.
Out jones. White. Tutt. Menzel. Curnow.

Yep that's the criteria...talking on the field
Would you take Carrots ahead of that onfield orator Bruce Doull.?
Carrots is FINITO. If you need a large tumbler of water to help you digest that, be my guest
And to put a line through Whiley at this stage is nonsensical

Thinking long term, I seriously doubt it's in Kreuzer's best interests to bring him back now. I'd like to see him have at least one more hit out in the VFL and, depending how he pulls up, bring him back after the Bye.

I really want us to win this one.
Help Screw up their finals hopes.

The Jacobs Betts factor hurts.

Hope Kreuzer is included, same with Jammo Judd Menzel Murphy and Yarran.

jaksch should be doing his apprenticeship in the forward line

Larkins says Yazz to miss two with ligament strain. Menz knee swelling being monitored.
Murph 50:50. Gibbs no.

Should get Jamo & Judd though. Hopefully Kreuz too.

You're absolutely right. No point whatever bringing him back this week.

You can therefore expect him to be named.

If they do it's a sign of panic.

If they don't it maybe they have learned something.

Is it wrong that I only want to go to this game to see Eddie Betts play?
