So basically what all of the public outcry is telling me is that:

"the members have every confidence in the board and wish them to continue managing the club until the end of the season.....or mid season break....or anytime really depending on the public assessment of media coverage"

That's correct.
The board has 2 weeks to create a million dollar profit, get membership to 60000, outfit a league standard recruiting department and engage with fans at world class level.
I will evaluate them at the bye to see if they meet these standards.

Bill just need rather than pre-requisite being money -people with corporate governance experience from various sectors who understand not for profits with a significant member base stakeholder engagement and strategic planning
There are people around it's just that they are not members of the present clique that is the Carlton board

What's the chances that we would have a board member that's a coterie member of another club?

It's a reality... It's how you can run with the best people making decisions rather than just those with the most money

It's called networking.

Know where you're coming from Frank but Jesus Christ. That sounds like a seek.com job advertisment for a mid level, cardigan wearing, state public servant, no idea how to run a business, take morning and afternoon tea and leave for home at 5pm, affirmative action, use words like stakeholder, thank the traditional owners of Princes Park, let's consult with our constituency, bullshit bureaucrat, yeah I have an Arts degree from Monash, weak chinned, pencil dick. No thanks. And that sentence is longer and less grammatically correct than any BKB has penned this year, minus the dots.

If there is indeed a rival ticket being formed in the background, they might consider Jason Dunstall as a replacement for Adrian Gleeson... ?

Probably not.

But no harm in asking him.

Maybe if his idol Bruce Doull asked him... ?

Not everyone is convinced, including those who believe the powerful family dynasties are "systemic". One former director says, "you have all these rich benefactors driving the club, so how do you make a fresh start and create change from the top down".

"There is a real groundswell from the members that they want their club back."

If Goddard ever has the runs on the board post-career in footy admin that Dunstall has, then, yeah, why not.

The current Board should leave a legacy for the good for the club.

Apart from change to best practise, paying off the debt along with the Independent Selection Committee.

This Board, whether challenged or not should want to wipe this debt which we have carried since Black Friday 2002.

The debt is currently under control and easily serviced.

Not even top 10 of the concerns our club has.

As bad as our on field performance is, our biggest concern is maintaining our supporter base.
