Our skills would be ok if the players ahead of them could make some room for themselves.

That is the key. I think our contested possessions are ok, but the swans do what they do best- close down every opponent.

Our midfield has actually been pretty good. Nice to see that

Good effort that half but 2.4

Sums up our list imo

Sums up our total lack of run that Malthouse has killed. Our flair has gone completely. With run comes skills, as more space is created, numbers to the contest hence more pressure on the opposition.

Cripps ..... great effort but runs out of puff quickly. Needs to get fitter and have a chat with Diesel Williams (just like Jobe Watson did) about taking his game to the next level.

Love he holding the ball against Curnow ..... WTF

kk, when Carlton supporters boo Essendon** players with the same gusto as they boo Goodes, I'll be happy and may even buy a membership again. But till then, I'm justifiably shitted (if that's a word) by the club.

Is anyone booing Jetta? Or Franklin?

Sportsbet had odds of around $4 that Fanklin and Tippett would out score Carlton. Looking like a decent investment.

It's always about him.

It's very easy to play the race card. He's hiding behind it because he's actually a flog and doesn't understand why people don't like him.

Fev was good with the kids too, but nobody had a problem with his detractors.

Well done to the AFL media and Adam goodes this week for increasing segregation between races this week. That's all they've done. Saying we should treat someone different because of their race doesn't sit well with me. Not in this nation, not in this day. The AFL media and Goodes should re-evaluate their stand point on this issue. All they are doing is seperating us further.

Has anybody ever explored the possibility that Goodes is actually the racist in all this?

For some reason, our kicks to leading players seem to drop at their feet.

Skills?

Like kicks landing a meter short... like hand passes to the shoe laces... like fumbling at the wrong moment... like not blocking for team mates... like tackles not sticking

Things were perfect before Mick

They'll have to play in an empty stadium in WA and SA.

The biggest positive that quarter was Docherty playing on in the back pocket and running the ball up the corridor. Finally someone is breaking free of this bullshit kick wide, slow movement pattern of play. What's more, it was always going to be Docherty to do it. He still plays with instinct and footy smarts.

Great to see Graham in the middle, Cripps having the confidence to be third man up and Simpson having a dip as usual.

Goodes deserves the booing. Great player, massive flog.

we're still playing crap game plan footy

barker needs to understand he has to change the team structures

use the corridor, man up and be accountable

our pressure is terrific but we are letting them off easy with that easy release back to their loose men

They need the bye to get some education in, a week is about recovery and focussing on the next opponent.

As stupid as some think about the board I think they actually realised this

Only difference tonight is effort, structural changes won't be made till post bye

Nup...don't agree

The key is to kick the ball, handball, or tap to advantage.

The skills have been crap since 2001-2002.

I can remember going to training every week seeing Williams, Bradley and any number of assistants since then doing drills where the skills were butchered and I'm here to tell you....it hasn't changed one iota.

Call it recruiting in that we don't recruit class, call it lack of development, call it what you like.

They constantly butcher the ball. Every side delivers under some sort of pressure. We cant

That's been happening for weeks BV, the players nearby haven't been helping the guy in possession though.
