Simple.

We chose not to.

I think what's worrying for trigg it this.. ... Let's call it unorthodox ways of the past then this.. Then guess which club has just brought him in?

Let's face it.. It's not a good look!
Not the kind of moved you need to be making when you're trying to stabilize a piece of shit.

I didn't initially care too much about his past over there.. More about his limitations.
But you can see how it can be used against us...

I remember it being reported mid-2013 in Adelaide (pretty sure it was Triple M) that Eddie had bought a house in SA.

I'm struggling to figure out why what Mick said is news if no one cared when the above was reported.

We hear about people buying property all the time. So I guess nobody takes these reports seriously.
Would be interesting to audit.. But then nothing is stop anybody in Australia buying property anywhere in Australia..

Very true.
Buying property is easily explained as an investment or purchase for his family back home. If they were to have done anything about the claims.

But we all know in this case he bought it because he was going back to SA.

Certainly pin was pulled and grenade was thrown on this issue. The comments were designed to damage Trigg and out him under investigative pressure. That's a nasty "touché" stack on the guy who probably pulled the trigger (pardon the pun) on Malthouse. The AFL are all over Trigg because of previous offences and is currently sitting on a suspended sentence. If can he will but find the time and he will be under no further suspicion. However, they are investigating far and wide, just hope no-one else who may no more will surrender more damaging information that may enlarge the suspicion further than what it is.

Shenanigans happen all the time.. usually we suspect..
With trigg we know he gets his hands dirty.
But when trigg says "nothing to see here.". We don't have to believe him.
'Signing' Eddie eighteen months out means the club never did a chance in signing him at a realistic contact leading up to the deadline.. How would they know he has s much better offer?
Eddie was in the BOX SEAT for any negotiation contract talks and the club was none the wiser.. It would have been very late in the piece that the club would have understood the Adelaide contact... But there was no chance the club would have had Eddie signed sealed before that.

Game over!

Well if they take Trigg off us and rescind the Betts transfer to Adelaide and send him back to us I'd consider that a fair trade.

Mid 2013 was only a few months from making the move to the crows at the end of that season.
If what mick said that Trigg said is true, they were into eddie at the beginning of 2012

Regardless of when Eddie was in the bag for the Crows, his departure is one of the most instructive things you'll ever see about our football club. Watch him rotate through the midfield at Adelaide when he wasn't fit enough to do it for us and it tells you all you need to know about our culture and our fitness programs.

Uh no, not game over.....the deal is matched.

Can't believe this is still a topic of discussion

You make a valid and point. He appears to be playing as free as a bird. A free spirit if you will.

Adelaide also don't allow him to have his space closed down as easily as it happened against us.

I noticed a couple of games he still being used as a leading marking target against big opponents, sometimes two.

So not just us.

Garlett, waite, robinson are worth a couple of wins
Betts a great player worth 1 or 2 wins
Collectively they wouldnt get us to top 8 and honestly the first 3 are either old or average
Its rear vision mirror stuff. Move on

Betts was used in the midfield for us. Not often, but he was.

Mick's comments are news because they're serious allegations, if we assume "stitched up" means signed.

But, really, does anyone seriously think Betts had a firm deal inked with the Crows before he was actually allowed to do under AFL rules? Would the CRows, Betts or his manager really all be that stupid?

I don't think so.

It was MIck being a cauliflower and nothing more.

This hyped up tell all interview on Fox Footy will make great viewing, no doubt, but can you tell me the last coach who went and did a one hour special interview after he was sakced?

What a selfish, self-centred flog he is. I'm just sorry I ever gave him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm sorry we helped him break McHale's record.

Agree with the sentiments here that Malthouse is a childish turd.

He's got some media this week, we await some more grenades.....
