Agree, could he be any worse than Jones?

Would be hilarious if we won.

If Jamison, Walker and Henderson are fit, and Gibbs and Judd aren't, I'd like to see:

FB: White Jamison Docherty
HB: Yarran Henderson Tuohy
CC: Buckley Thomas Simpson
HF: Walker Everitt Bell
FF: Menzel Casboult Armfield

RR: Wood Cripps Murphy

Int: Boekhorst Tutt Curnow
Sub: Whiley

If the MC think we should be a bit taller in the forward line, dump Whiley, bring in Jaksch or Watson and make Boekhorst sub. I'd rather make the Swans smalls earn their keep and have enough numbers to cover their forwards; there's skill and running power to be used on our list.

Hopefully we'll see Byrne in the team by round 12.

Usually when Wallsy potted a club the week before they were due to play us, they had a significant bear "to poke".

Poke Fremantle, Pavlich would kick 8, having had 8 ineffectual touches the previous week.

Poke St Kilda, Reiwoldt would kick 6 goals straight having kicked 1 goal 5 behinds the previous week.

Can't see a bear on our list who will do anything else other than continue to hibernate.

$14 on William Hill.

That's absurd.

Should be at least $25.

I jest.

It's funny that there are suggestions that we'll play a style of football different to the negative crap that we've been playing that wasn't working and somehow our odds of actually winning are decreasing?

If there's 60+ tackles and competitive throughout the game then the players will have spoken

I think if we played a side that had a view toward winning, we'd do well - 6 day break for Sydney in a tough 4 quarter game against the Hawks won't be easy.

In practice, injuries will cruel us and the bigger picture should prevail. Honourable loss. Will probably take us at the line (60)

We won't win this week and we'll barely change game plans or styles ...but it will happen over the season. I'm betting that within a few weeks commentators will start saying words such as freedom, unshackled, daring etc...stuff not associated with us for a while.

They'll all be implying 'what the f was MM doing?'

The days of "because I said so" will be over for the coaches as well as the players....

So who HASN'T worked for an idiot boss where you just give them the thumbs up when they tell you they are about to do something which you know is incredibly stupid...and then you feign surprise when it all goes horribly wrong....

Well that boss just got the lemon...

I'd look to try KJ up forward if Hendo is in defence.

Would like Holman and Graham given four quarters in the AFL too. Both have solid VFL form the past month.

I just think the Casboult, Walker, Everitt combo is enough height and with Menzel down there it starts to eat into our midfield rotations if we chuck another tall in there.

Everitt has a lot of run for a tall, but he's too slow to compete against most midfielders, and Menzel and Walker both have conditioning work to do to improve in that aspect.

Yes it leaves us a little light up forward, but Jaksch and Jones hardly help with that; back the pace of Armfield, Buckley and Boekhorst in combination with Walker, Yarran, Tutt, Docherty and Tuohy.

Jaksch is already struggling for confidence (and I don't blame him) I really don't think playing him against Buddy or Tippett or even Reid is a good idea.

That's true.

On the other hand the pressure has been released and expecations are low. Give the kid a run with the freedom to have a crack and if mistakes are made in the name of learning and having a go then so be it.

We maybe able to get the line, under 60. Depends if the rumours are true of no Gibbs or Judd, and still no Hendo or Walks, it could easy be 100.

In: Tackling, making and spotting up leads, one percenters, teamwork, kicking straight, Graham (may prove vanilla but has earned a go).

Out: The opposites of the above, Judd (sore), anyone else too sore/restricted to be playing, Warnock (team balance).
