no, you can engage with the fans without displaying poor management

well, these guys can't .... but its possible

why the @#$%&! would you corner yourselves with a 2 week deadline? on top of backtracking on your embarrassingly staunch viewpoint earlier.

just showing everyone how poor they are.

No they're not, put up much better performances for the next 2 weeks and Mick coaches out the year, if not he's gone.

Either way won't be coaching next year but at the same time inform your constituents, shut the @#$%&! meedya up and provide an out that's not a knee jerk reaction.

Hes gone. You cant read anything else into it. Its disrespectful to mick. Better to just shut up for two weeks or chop him now bthat statement is wishy washy nonsense on stilts.

Hearing him say there are no quick fixes etc is a massive positive IMO.

Would be good if true. Lets see if they have a genuine interview process. I reckon they have already got someone in mind.

Agree.

It's pandering to the media and sponsors - PR focused.
It's got nothing to do with the members

I reckon he's gone, he's been told and the two week break is to give him time to decide if he wants to coach out the year.

Hope he doesn't, i don't want that stupid old cauliflower hanging around.

La Giudace and Trigg let the media run the agenda.
Absolutely weak. What is the benefit of moving Malthouse on in round 11

Trust where your word is your bond is the essence of a strong club culture.
A contract is a contract.
We will review the coaching position at the end of the season
We will review the coaching position at the back end of the season
They will terminate Mick. Ask him to coach out the year. He will refuse
Trigg will pay him out. They will pay a caretaker coach an extra 200k to coach 11 games.

As if they haven't made a decision.

Do they really expect people to believe that a decision rests on 2 more match results ????

Laughable.

Laughable.

The statement reads that they'd like to review carefully over the bye weekend.

So everyone's got a fortnight to prepare before they spend 10 days hashing it out. Given the talk of legitimate factions at board level, in the playing group and in the football staff, along with everyone talking about it, this could be the circuit breaker required.

Yes the media have dictated some of this, but if those kinds of rumours are true, people are simply taking advantage of an opportunity to knife others. Those kinds of people, no matter what faction, should leave if they can't adequately account for their actions.

This is all for public consumption
It's the half way point after that and they kept their word.. Meantime everything magnifies onto the playing group not themselves.

This, the people that are pissed are those wanting the axe now.

Mick knows he won't be coaching next year but at the same time would be sick to the stomach in knowing he'll be sacked and would prefer to coach out the year and not be reappointed.

As much as people have a hatred of him, I believe there's a respectful way of doing things. I'll bet you Mick has asked for 2 weeks to get competitive in the hope he can coach it out and finish on his terms at the end of the year
