Anyone thought that the lack of tackling, having a go etc is a silent protest by the players for the club to get rid of Malthouse? What do you expect them to come out and tell the truth. Murphy said as much they don't tackle, so if they know about it why don't they? Food for thought..

Nail head i think, and if true a disgrace on those players

Yes it's so embarrasing. That's less than 10 tackles a quarter.

I don't get it. This is one of MM"s strengths??

No appetite for the contest? Gezz for the money the players earn I"d be cracking in irrespective of game plan, affection for coach, affection for the board LOL

Oh great, here we go again. Malthouse <- (replace with Pagan & Ratten) -> gets the arse, and the board gets a pat on the back for taking action?

So how many years will pass before we repeat this process again with whoever the next coach will be? :screwy:

I prefer we do when we have to rather than the other way round.

Please let there always be an escape clause from bad mistakes.
We'd be in trouble for longer if we didn't.

Why them?

They just invest their $ and loyalty....edit...don't know what Gleeson's value is.
He hasn't shown members or fans much. Maybe he has. I hope he has.

I would have thought we were suffering from a middle management problem engaged by current board members. No doubt some Directors are stale.

Conundrum

Middle management transition has been executed by stealth Imo.
I'm glad it's gone that way.

Possibly because other clubs seem more like member run clubs. I know there are plenty of coteries full of rich benefactors at all clubs, from Suburbia on up but the popular myth about Carlton is that the club is overly influenced by those rich benefactors.

Clarkson laments 'toxic' environment at Blues as Malthouse meeting looms

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/c ... h8jwj.html

Quote:
Malthouse was understood to have spoken with chief executive Steven Trigg on the phone at the weekend, as well as briefly with him and president Mark LoGiudice on Friday night after the Blues' 77-point defeat by Geelong. But the coach and club chief are expected to meet more formally on Monday to discuss the events of last week when Malthouse spoke out at odds with the club about the wisdom of declaring the club in rebuild at the start of the year.

Good point. Should be easy change.
I expect a benefactor investing a million in value for a seat if it's cash they're putting in.
It would be negligible of them if they didn't
Keep the bastards honest!

I really hope it isn't on purpose, that's disgusting if it is. Can you imagine Simpson and Judd missing tackles on purpose. No way. If there are players that do, they should be flicked because that isn't a culture you want anywhere.

Yeah! Right on!! We don't want any players wrecking the great culture at Carlton.

WEED.'EM.OUT.

And while we're at it, get rid of Malthouse - he's ruining our 'brand'...... I blew snot out of my nose trying not to laugh when I mentioned "brand" in the same sentence as "our".

Well, about time they did. What I'd like to see is Pratt and Mathieson pay off the debt in full, donate another 10 million for good measure........ and then faaark off.... for good. And take that moronic old fart with the plastic tits girl-friend with yez. Leave some money and leave us the faark alone!!!!

MM is an excellent peoples manager. Set the course and he will lead you there!

We have a very good asset within the club, in fact one who will keep many people honest!

His once good play sense is no longer there, the defensive (behind the ball strategy) is allowing sides to force us into a corner.

We need to either challenge MM to change the overall game strategy or politely ask him to step aside for someone who can!

Not sure if many recall his 2013 Rd 1 post match interview "on the couch" were he clearly disliked the quick run at all cost game!

We may not be top 8 side? We are certainly not bottom 4!!

Change our direction, not necessarily coach.

My my my a toxic environment
There is leadership for you from the president and the board

Imagine thinking you can say " rebuild " and the shit wouldn't hot the fan

bufoon is a stupid, stupid guy.

Even if it didn't cause damage..
And it has))
Why would you say that mark? Surely you're not that stupid! Oh he is,!

Funny if he has to go and his mate sos stays.. Considering all this was the brainchild of SOS and the buffoon went public.

With the failed raid on hawthorn and then what happened to Rogers .. Who in their right mind would want to stepb into this club with this board and this toxic environment
Clarkson called this "toxic and disruptive" not Essendon*..
In the eyes of the AFL world these guys stink..
Very funny!

That's where they have taken our football club.
Mark is an idiot!

You're down playing the role of the tell protagonists in all this.
The board.
They headhunted Mick
They want to get attention seeking headlines
They're getting them...

Players don't want to be cattle on mass...

You're the side that you are.

Just accept it..

Lets sack MM after all it's his fault that we have a very average list, that lacks leaders, skill, aggression, a strong mentality and very little promising youth coming through.

He arrives at the club, has his hands tied due to contracts in place. Lets see what he does at the end of the year. At Collingwood he got the best out of many average footballers, to date it hasn't worked here and I'm sure he thought our list was better than it actually is. We are paying the price for being a very average football club for many years, it's starts from the top, recruitment, list management, development the whole lot.

Good luck MM.

mick wasn't involved with recruitment at the club since he wanted Chad Morrison over jordan lewis. pies banished him from recruiting at that time. Then they had 2 super drafts around 2005/6. Mick come to the pies off a rebuild in 99.

Hate to break it to u but we are not collingwood. last decade. Modern game.

Lost the players and is absolute coxk of a man. You can only put up with guys like him if u get results. Right now we are malthouse fc. Not carlton fc. Cant wait until he goes
