We have no target up forward. Nothing.

If we accumulate picks in the top 30 we can feast on mids as well.

I understand how you want to prioritise, but that's not going to change next season even if we pick a good young KPF.

Take the value where it's offered with pick 1. Weitering sounds like the best player by some margin at this point. We're upgrading the talent level on our list, let's not reach with early picks, and just take the guy on our board.

If there's someone we like and we need to trade up to secure him, then I'm all for it, but never trade down in the top 25.

Went you're rebuilding you target best talent available. As we hopefully develop then you start targeting specific types. If we do it right we should a lot of salary cap space to then bring in a couple of A grade free agents or trades.

I reckon we should wait another decade to use an early pick on a key forward.

Interested to know how many key defenders picked in the top 5 of the draft have ended up superstars of the competition? Taxi man is having a good year and L Hansen is not bad if he can play as a loose in defence.

Set the side up...no more thinking it can be done with rookie picks/discards like Casboult and Jones.

Agree but only if one is available and worth the pick. I would be very happy to pick a Hogan or a Cameron but they have to be of that rating plus it depends how many picks we have and what's available.

Bloody Weitering is a softcock. Whoever picked him should be sakced. We shoulda taken <insert Hawthorn's, Geelong's, Sydney's, or Port's first pick here>. We never learn.

With Dew's shit gameplan and Weitering's softness, we'll struggle to win any more.

Can't wait till end of year. Sakc Dew and trade Weitering, and then we'll be well on the way to number 17.

always get the best/ highest rated talent available with your pick.

sort out the rest later.

weitering is far ahead of everyone else at this point. he could stabilise our backline for another 12 years. hard at it, skilful, intimidates, a leader. he's everything we need right now.

i still think with jamo's decline weitering on their best, henderson on their second best is a bloody good backline to build on.

one of murphy or gibbs will go.

if we make them off limits now, that will strangely increase their value. it's the smartest thing we've done (announncing they're untouchable) since we bought diesel.

haha

Knowing Carlton we'd trade down the number one pick (if we get it) for a selection that would get us one of the best rated KPFs and a fringe player. Weitering will be tried forward for his club and star whilst our pick simply holds is spot and the fringe player flops. That's the kind of thing we've done, we take shortcuts. Supporters shouldn't be encouraging that sort of thing. Trade up for someone like Weidermen or get Harry McKay with pick twenty. We have to learn to be opportunistic rather than mannered and reactionary. I could also just imagine us using pick 20 for Rice, just because we'd wouldn't want to look silly if he did make it, rather than because he is the best choice.

Take Weitering first pick, trade Henderson for a pick somewhere around 10 and take a key forward.

We get a monster backman, with clear leadership creds and we pick a forward who has a clue how to play forward

Weitering , Parish and Schache would be my wish list.
Pick 1 another top 5 pick if Krooz if he were offered some crazy sum and decided to walk as FA , the AFL could help us with a decent compo pick there , we need a hand , swap that pick for Parish and a late first rounder for Henderson trade to bag Schache.
There is our foundation, going forward. I'd look for a young Ruckman with 20.
Keep Yarren if possible.
Go Blues
