To fellow CFC supporters

I've been a long time reader/supporter on this site, but rarely posted. As a proud Carlton supporter, I've taken to social media over night #CFC2015DoSomething. As a proud supporter I'm completely disgusted at the plight of our football club. I know that I'm preaching to the converted. The club needs to DO SOMETHING !!!, they need to sell us hope instead of hopelessness. I hope you can join me on the social media petition to the football club, they aren't doing anything, but we can.

Regards
Louis

Hi Louis,

I admire your passion. Remember to try and define clear representatives for your campaign should anyone wish to contact you, as well as to build clear goals and targets for the club to hit.

I'd suggest partnering with this poster:

We're not usually noticed..

Ive been staying home for 12 years. I dont think they care.

Trust me! They care..
Their problem us this

They used to think if Joe bloggs doesn't come to the football it doesn't matter.. Joe bloggs is a useless @#$%&! and we don't need him.. There are plenty more Joe bloggs that will come to the football

They never thought let's get the new Joe bloggs and the old Joe bloggs because 1+1 is 2
-1+1 is 1

There was this arrogance that we didn't matter.. After all this tells the story of the mindset and the philosophy of the club.
And how a guy like Mick could be fooled by his friend to come.. Just as his friend swann was fooled by the facade..
Problem is now everybody knows the emperor has no clothes
http://www.brw.com.au/p/national/busine ... NiQoe3yipL

So do we go along with the charade?

That article made me shudder. Imagine if we had picked up Travis Cloke on a 5 year deal. :hitcomputer:

For all you loyal Carlton Football Club supporters stay tuned for announcements on Monday morning.

On the way home last night I tipped 11 am Monday the announcement would be made.
Anyone else going to take a guess?

Last 5 minutes on SEN FINALLY addressed the issue. Decisions of the past have crippled the club. First time I've heard a consensus from the media about what we know. We have never looked to the future.
If you keep doing the same thing you'll keep getting the same result.
To me it started post 1995. Made no changes because we had such a huge year.
1999 bathed in the glory of the prelim.
2010 and 2011 spent too much time lamenting the close final losses and not changing the list.
Getting McLean on Brownlow night thinking he'd deliver a flag. Lose Fev that day and window shuts.
We have never taken a longterm approach to anything.

This is the frustrating thing. Most of us on here, just average supporters, could see this coming.
Yet our so called professionals at the club were blind to it.

Did you listen to it? That wasn't a club message, it was Bryce Gibbs talking from within.

Reflected the club. Down and with no real answers

Reflected the clubs position, not the messaging.

That's what I meant.

I've changed my tune after the past 48hrs. The players aren't supporting Mick's statement, clearly the trigger can no longer wait until the bye. Although, one last thumping to Sydney would nail the coffin closed.

It killed me that he had no answer, or just couldn't admit it, for why they only laid 35 tackles for the game, two weeks in a row. The answer is they didn't work hard enough, a lack of effort.

The heartening thing is the rabble that is our board is now being exposed in the mainstream, so the scrutiny it's being focused on that as well.
They can't keep hiding behind the coach. People realise changing the coach is only part of the problem.
The world has realised we have been a shit club for 15 years and that's not the fault of a couple of coaches. The stuff we have been banging on about here is now out there.
Unfortunately, the worst thing we could do now in terms of making fundamental off field changes is to start winning.

I don't think you've got too much to worry about there Kenny.

Can someone please explain to me what benefit is there other than a luncheon and a free ticket to the football does a board member get.
My understanding is each board member is required to generate x amount of dollars to the club and the position is voluntary.
Please correct me if I am wrong

A director directs.. No matter if he's working for free.
It's not about his renumeration it's about performance.

If they're there.. They're there to serve not to tell us they don't get paid.

...posted this elsewhere....probably more relevant here....
We can Hashtag all we like, there's only one thing the board will understand.

Joke right?

good one

No joke; our worst clearance statistics for the year and Warnock had 5 clangers from 10 possessions. Jones should never have been in the team, and he showed why with a shocking performance after an admirable first half.

Look if Wood needs a week's rest, then keep Warnock, but otherwise @#$%&! him off and keep Wood in the team until Kreuzer is ready to roll. Henderson into defence and Boekhorst as sub to inject some speed before making a full start the week after. He's not going to build his tank much more in the VFL.

We have no in-form tall forwards other than Casboult, it's about time they all sat in the VFL and showed something before they came into the team. Bring in some quicker types to cut ahead of the ball and receive like Buckley, Boekhorst, Yarran and Armfield.

Jimmae, I admire your thinking BUT REALLY?...you haven't worked out what the real point of the games is?

MM intent on making the players and board eat their own sh!t and the board firing back to make MM eat his own sh!t....it's been happening since round1.

Unfortunately if you are a supporter you're eating sh!t no matter who's on top....players too!

If you seriously think they are picking players, teams, tactics etc to try and win games (or play VAGUELY competitively) you are sadly delusional

(Seriously, no offence to you intended....but we're being treated like chumps. They're pissing people off to the point of now return ....and I mean no return. The "true supporters" barbs recently was only a further insult. )

unfortunately they ripped me off this year....they won't get that chance again...

By doing something I want to see the club on the same page.

Board and MM need to come admit that he will not be there next year. He will coach the side for the rest of the year with the goal to get as many games and experience into our kids as possible. SOS will have a big say in selection. If MM can't do that (and he says he never quits) then Laidley to take over.

Club needs to annouce a CLEAR plan that they are in a full rebuild and will be going to the draft over the next 3-5 years to build a strong and highly competitve club. Whether that means trading etc only time will telll but we will be looking at all options to bring in as many kids as possible. Will not be considering any quick fixes.

No more Jones, Tutt, Dick selections.

Carlton will have a stand alone Reserves side playing out of PP.

A full process will be conducted over the next 3-4 months to select the best coach to take us forward.

A New Football Manager with expertise in contract negotiation to be employed.

Do this and show some real leadership I believe the club will bounce back and it's supporters will return.

Written similar insights in other threads so agree 100% with you Psych
