Focus on where area is a guarantee the disease will spread elsewhere. Need to get at the heart of the disease and destroy it.

We won't be competitive for at least 5-7 years.

We won't win a Premiership for at least 15 years.

We are so redacted and it has everything to do with every past and present member of the CFC Board, the recruiting department and the football department.

The players have been allowed to get away with quite a bit. That has to end this year.

Warnock in for Carrazzo was plain crazy. If he had come in for Wood I could understand it, but that is one awful decision. There are half a dozen smaller more mobile blokes in the 2's that would have been a better choice. I can't believe that this has happened twice in a few weeks. Loony stuff.

Was there an explanation for this at his press conference?

unsurprisingly not. the brainiacs who pose as journos only wanted to know about Mick's contract

I think it is highly significant that this thread is only on the fifth page after ten hours.

We're getting used to it.

Welcome to mediocrity.

Curnow was great.

Curnow, just like Carazzo before him, have had to fight for every inch of progress in their career.

They have probably played every game like it were their last. They have probably played with self doubt since gaining a spot on an AFL list. They are to be admired.

Then we get to Gibbs and Murphy...silver spooned and told their shit is aromatic all their lives

Gibbs is a flowering liablity atm...Murphy is fractionally better. Play for the jumper and the priviledge of being seen as an elite AFL player, not because of flowering politics which you have no control over.
They are mentally soft and insipid...take a leaf out of Ed Curnow's book

Did anyone see EC as he was shaking hands after the match. He genuinely appeared pissed off at what was happening. Should be our only tagger for the next 5 years, and should be developed as a leader.

Is she the one that rang in to say there should be a mid-season garage sale at the club? Nearly spat out my beer when I heard that

Nah. She was on live at the OB. Sounded very old but just a normal uncomplicated supporter. Gave it to Jonathon Brown too.

The club sucked Gibbs in

learnt from our mistake earlier in the season that playing Wood and Warnock in the same team

Some better signs, I know the score line was crap but there was a bit more of an effort....but still far from satisfactory.

By the way, I can't see Malthouse getting sacked this week. I would think that the sacking should/would come just before we play a team which is beatable (as we all know there will be the obligatory lift in effort straight after a sacking) and given we are playing Sydney next week even sacking the whole coaching staff won't make a difference.

However, after that we play Adelaide and by then Henderson and Jamison would be back by then.......so I'm guessing another 70+ point loss next week will bring forward the review on the coach.

I get the feeling next week could see North Melbourne's 123 point record win broken. Who's going to play on Buddy? How many will Tippett kick on Rowe? How will the Sydney mids go with no pressure?

It's a week away and I already need a lie down.

Ha ha, ED's pissed with the other players, FMD!!! What did he do when he had a chance to kick a clutch goal when the game was still to be won, he missed... Leader my ass, he's just another plodder and we're going so bad he's starting to look good.

Highlight of the night........Wood smashing Selwood!!!! Sooooo worth the 100m penalty and goal.

That was my highlight for the night too. It showed so much heart. I would give him another contract based on that alone.

Although Warnock got tap outs they were ineffective. He can't run. The opposition run off him. Having two ruckman in the side as well as two ordinary KPF in Jones and Casboult means that we look pretty ordinary. Our delivery to the forward line was poor for the second week in a row anyway. So does that mean that Watson was not so bad after all? At least he can kick. Jones' kicking is woeful.

Good players for the night were Simpson, Curnow, Tutt, Menzel and Murphy. Oh how I wish Simmo was 20 years old so that we could have another 10 years of him.

As much as we would all like to see a total rebuild starting with Weitering the point is that we can't do it all at once. Many of these players running around tonight will be around next year. Many have contracts that we are stuck with. We will be down for a while as we rebuild. Our effort this year has been poor although it was a little better tonight. The coaching staff must take responsibility for that along with the poor skill level and decision making which has been abysmal at times.

I didn't have so much emotion watching the game tonight. I knew that would be the result.

Terrible decision to pick Warnock. Wood and Casboult have been doing the job all year, as the stoppage figures back up. They were left to rot on the forward line while Warnock rucked alot of the game. Wood's been a good ruckman for us and Casboult plays his best footy as a ruck/forward. Once Casboult's allowed to run round the ground taking a few marks his confidence grows and it helps him when he's up forward. Covers two areas ok. When he's a permanent forward you can see the confidence drain out of him and he plays like shit.

Would've got more out of Jaksch coming in instead and putting him forward. Had to have been better than Jones. Plus wouldn't have needed Warnock. Actually could've played Graham.
