Casboult

White
Thomas
Armfield
Everitt
Curnow
Bell
Tutt

That's half the team.... We're in deep shit.

At some point this year I hope to see Jamo, Hendo, Byrne, Walker, Kruezer, Boakhurst, Graham, Jacksh and Smith all in the same team and we may have some hope, until then we're stuffed.

Half that list was brought in on Malthouse's watch.

The other half in Rattens.. And don't forget Chris Johnson and brick Mclean

Reckon Wood, Curnow, Bell go alright. Casboult must be our second ruck. He becomes a much more confident player when both in the ruck and up forward. Not so as a permanent forward.

That's the problem, they go alright....sometimes. MM's destroyed our list and puts faith in spuds, he did at Collingwood and he's doing now.

Bell's improved out of sight, Wood is a good ruckman and Curnow is turning into an outstanding run-with player, as we saw tonight. done similar jobs on Ablett. Wood and Casboult have been a good rucking combination. Just not so good when they have to play as forwards and have Warnock ruck most of the game.

The best player to come on board in Malthouse's watch has been Docherty, and he chose us. Everit has been the only decent intentional acquisition and he's hardly A grade. A good player but not elite.

Everitt gave a good impersonation of a witches hat at full forward tonight. Ball never kicked to his advantage though.

If you're a forward at Carlton you're automatically a witches hat.

Out of that list Bell and Casboult are the only one's I like but I'm posting without rose coloured glasses.

Army, kicks to a Geelong player coming out of defense then 30 seconds later gets caught holding the ball directly in front. Argh.

Highlight of the night........Wood smashing Selwood!!!! Sooooo worth the 100m penalty and goal.

That was my highlight for the night too. It showed so much heart. I would give him another contract based on that alone.

Although Warnock got tap outs they were ineffective. He can't run. The opposition run off him. Having two ruckman in the side as well as two ordinary KPF in Jones and Casboult means that we look pretty ordinary. Our delivery to the forward line was poor for the second week in a row anyway. So does that mean that Watson was not so bad after all? At least he can kick. Jones' kicking is woeful.

Good players for the night were Simpson, Curnow, Tutt, Menzel and Murphy. Oh how I wish Simmo was 20 years old so that we could have another 10 years of him.

As much as we would all like to see a total rebuild starting with Weitering the point is that we can't do it all at once. Many of these players running around tonight will be around next year. Many have contracts that we are stuck with. We will be down for a while as we rebuild. Our effort this year has been poor although it was a little better tonight. The coaching staff must take responsibility for that along with the poor skill level and decision making which has been abysmal at times.

I didn't have so much emotion watching the game tonight. I knew that would be the result.

Simmo used to be twenty and he was hoping when he grows up things will be different.
Our draftees from this year will have a parallel career... Those that make it..

FMD how people carry on about the coach and players. The disease at Carlton is everywhere

Focus on where area is a guarantee the disease will spread elsewhere. Need to get at the heart of the disease and destroy it.

We won't be competitive for at least 5-7 years.

We won't win a Premiership for at least 15 years.

We are so redacted and it has everything to do with every past and present member of the CFC Board, the recruiting department and the football department.

The players have been allowed to get away with quite a bit. That has to end this year.

The board and president set the tone for any club.
The players are only a reflection on the set up.

The only people smiling at Carlton are the ones on ridiculous long term overpaid contracts...and every year we add another one to the list.

So, you end up with two camps:

The Fat Cats - Malthouse, Daisy, Gibbs, Warnock, Murphy, Judd, Kreuzer, Jones etc

And The Workers - Docherty, Bell, Buckley, Graham, Yarran, Rowe, Henderson, Wood etc

One camp is laughing at the you - you choose...

Hard to know where to start
It's not player player divisions
It's the ecosystem of the club overall

Ok - I'm not going to have a rant but we have a resting ruckman, Casboult & Jones forward of the centre but hardly ever have a KP structure to kick to when we go into the forward line! Why? Who is responsible for not keeping a couple of KP forwards in our forward 50? Why are we playing Thoams and Everitt deep with Casboult & Jones up high? Speaking of kicking into our forward line, is there any chance we can give our forwards an opportunity to mark by kicking to their advantage?

we were missing ellard

Warnock in for Carrazzo was plain crazy. If he had come in for Wood I could understand it, but that is one awful decision. There are half a dozen smaller more mobile blokes in the 2's that would have been a better choice. I can't believe that this has happened twice in a few weeks. Loony stuff.

Was there an explanation for this at his press conference?
