Ok - I'm not going to have a rant but we have a resting ruckman, Casboult & Jones forward of the centre but hardly ever have a KP structure to kick to when we go into the forward line! Why? Who is responsible for not keeping a couple of KP forwards in our forward 50? Why are we playing Thoams and Everitt deep with Casboult & Jones up high? Speaking of kicking into our forward line, is there any chance we can give our forwards an opportunity to mark by kicking to their advantage?

Can't remember a time (or a team) having so fewer marks on the lead.

Shit for shit.

Actually got alot of respect for Carrazzo. Been great for our club. He's finished now but had an excellent career.

Fair points, but I was simply referring to his current state of near uselessness.

Carrazzo has been a good servant of the club but his time is up and the best he can help for the rest of the year is to provide some mentoring in the 2's.

I find it hard to believe that the club still regards Murphy and Gibbs as untouchables. They would be the first two I would look to trade. Murph gutsy but too little and ineffective when he gets it. Gibbs - well what can you say. Not going to build anything around these two.

Another dispirited, confused performance. It makes me sick thinking they receive the pay cheques they do despite the half hearted efforts. Someone should invent a cash counter instead of a useless GPS monitor for players. Dollars should be counted with the amount of exertion applied. Let's see how they play then.

Not only was the play on the field confused, but the messages off the field were too.

Didn't think things could get any bleaker.

It gets them all in the end if they play too long no matter who you are.

As previously mentioned the late change was just unfathomable.........I thought we would have
learnt from our mistake earlier in the season that playing Wood and Warnock in the same team
is not going to work.

Some better signs, I know the score line was crap but there was a bit more of an effort....but still far from satisfactory.

By the way, I can't see Malthouse getting sacked this week. I would think that the sacking should/would come just before we play a team which is beatable (as we all know there will be the obligatory lift in effort straight after a sacking) and given we are playing Sydney next week even sacking the whole coaching staff won't make a difference.

However, after that we play Adelaide and by then Henderson and Jamison would be back by then.......so I'm guessing another 70+ point loss next week will bring forward the review on the coach.

Malthouse: "No, the President and CEO haven't come in to talk to me tonight."
Malthouse: "I am in total alignment with the football club. I am fully behind the CEO."
Malthouse: "We know what we have to do... That's why Steve Silvagni has come on board."
Malthouse: "Let me clarify this. There is no rift with me and Steven. There is no rift with me and the Board."
Malthouse: "We are trying to get the right list up but we keep hitting roadblocks. We can't afford that. Our depth isn't good enough."

i agree with Mick on one thing. our rebuild decision should have been kept in house. announcing it to the public after two rounds of football was sheer lunacy. for the club, coach , players and supporters.

Regardless how they played tonight and let's face it none set the world of fire but all these players have deficiencies and need to be progressively removed from the team.

Casboult
Jones
Warnock
Wood
White
Thomas
Armfield
Everitt
Curnow
Bell
Tutt

That's half the team.... We're in deep shit.

At some point this year I hope to see Jamo, Hendo, Byrne, Walker, Kruezer, Boakhurst, Graham, Jacksh and Smith all in the same team and we may have some hope, until then we're stuffed.

Half that list was brought in on Malthouse's watch.

Warnock in for Carrazzo was plain crazy. If he had come in for Wood I could understand it, but that is one awful decision. There are half a dozen smaller more mobile blokes in the 2's that would have been a better choice. I can't believe that this has happened twice in a few weeks. Loony stuff.

Reckon Wood, Curnow, Bell go alright. Casboult must be our second ruck. He becomes a much more confident player when both in the ruck and up forward. Not so as a permanent forward. Can't complain about our rucking this year. Clearances figures back that up.

That's the problem, they go alright....sometimes. MM's destroyed our list and puts faith in spuds, he did at Collingwood and he's doing now.
