Mike Fitzpatrick is not out of the question. He only has a year or 2 left as Afl chairman

I suspect he'll see that out. Also, I suspect he'd not stand or join a board with any Elliott sympathisers.

Not sure how many people remember, but he was on the board once upon a time.

You can suspect what you like Jim
But the questions are..

Does that mean he is no good? Because his father is jack?
Also... Does the fact that his name is Elliott mean juiced up is very good?

Now give us some reasoned evidence to your suspicions
Lol

Oh and Jim.. I'm playing devils advocate here.
I wouldn't support Elliott without knowing what his philosophies for this club are and who's with him.
But I sure as hell don't support the juiced up one as I've seen him in action and I know what he's about... And he's crap
He's not healing the club with his wedges
He's into cronyism
He's a buffoon
He fails at every turn
And yes he's cleaning house but he put them there.. As part of a group.
Then he was quick to point out he has nothing to do with the previous administration
The guy stinks!

So how do you reject Elliott without knowing what he's about.. Knowing all that about the calamitous buffoon

This is what makes your reek as a shill Jim.. This is what make you obvious

Such crucial efforts are known as footy’s “one-percenters”, yet too many Carlton players seem unwilling to carry them out. The solution is for the on-field leadership group to lead by example. Senior footballers like Marc Murphy and Bryce Gibbs must perform the hard one-percenters so their less experienced teammates realise what needs to be done.

Of course but that's because he's in total self preservation as ate all senior players.

Having said that I don't want the emphasis on the players.. Even if football is what most people understand.
Were spoilt here... We know more about the behind the scenes than most people.
It's crucial people see beyond the football to go forward..

I understand what you are saying (not that I have your insider knowledge) but work needs to be done at all levels.

Yes the board is a shitfight but the players need to do their bit too and not enough are. Nothing wrong with this comment as long as all the blame isn't laid at their feet.

Players play according to the environment put together by the club
They come to us by recruiting dept
Developed by development group
Coached by coaches
The ecosystem set up is crucial..( Jim you like that? Ecosystem...

Clearly in our case it's been a massive failure

The other thing that's interesting is mention the name Elliott and the MLG-bots come out in a panic..
Hilarious..

- An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment (things like air, water and mineral soil), interacting as a system.

Lifted from wiki but let's concentrate on what the board has been creating for Carlton
For players
Staff
Supporters..

I think this is crucial to analysing where this club.. The formerly great champion of Australian sport is today..

Consider the word ecosystem meaning how everything has been brought together in a functioning system

- An ecosystem is a community of living organisms in conjunction with the nonliving components of their environment (things like air, water and mineral soil), interacting as a system.

How's this board going?

I agree in the most with what you say but I can't just take all blame away from the players.

They still have pride in what they produce (or should).

I have never looked to management to get my work ethic or put in the required effort.

Those should be non negotiable and come with the individual.

Simpson, Judd and Kreuzer can do it (along with a couple of others) the rest can show at least some desire, they are professional athletes with all their needs catered for.

You see rabbit.. The players are only a part of the total ecosystem that is clearly non functioning...
That's what the board of directors are there to engineer.

Now.. The team in my opinion is playing sick.. Their better than that.. Put them in another ecosystem.. Say hawthorn and I'm sure most will flourish..

This club is more sick than people realise..
Why is it sick? It begins at the very top..
This guy being part of these decisions but has them stepped away from his role by talking about " previous administrations" and shirking responsibility himself is a prime reason as to why it stinks whatever they have been cooking in that kitchen..

If you ask me they have been cooking up a storm of mediocrity and psilocybin mushrooms for dessert..

Yeah probably. Maybe... but the club told them they're no good... Mark told them.. They're not our darlings... Were getting a new bunch of darlings and were going to pop those in our ecosystem ....
...

Buy the best, exclusive, most expensive, well-bred tropical fish. Whack 'em into the toxic poisonous water. Now, blame the fish when they die, or blame the person buying them, or blame the people watching.

But whatever you do, don't change the water.

I'd be happy to blame the people watching, but they're too apathetic.

We had a Fish once. He played 99 games if I recall.

Good mark.

I wish our presidents/board members did what Japanese ones do and resign from their position when they make a bad decision.... not stay on for years and years and keep making more bad decisions.

Synners, if you were ever going to listen to me on anything, you probably should have listened to those comments.

Elliott's a public figure, we know exactly what he's about.

This. AND, given the board are multi-multi-multi-millionares, before they leave they should cover all the money they've made this club bleed with their own mismanagement.

We could name a toilet block after them in recognition of their service.
