Our board if full of loudmouths. It's disgraceful. Everyone in the AFL community knows everything we are about t do before it happens. Example - our last 3 drafts

I don't think it has come from the board.

I know for a fact that the information about SOS's audit of our list was relayed to at least one of the new supporter groups the club setup this year.

I dont know if the club will do as you say because I dont think they have an idea but I agree with you about the core group and the types we need to keep.

I'm actually sick to death about all this negative Carlton crap.

My kids love the club and are glad they dont follw the Swans or the Kangas or the Dons because of our rich history.

When they ask me if MM is the right person at the club how do I answer that to my 11 and 7yo? It breaks my heart to tell them no one has an idea of our destiny. The list as we know it will be ripped up and destroyed at years end. I dont know who will still be with us, and I don't like supporting Murphy Gibbs and Kreuzer because they are average players imo.

The kids hate watching Betts Waite Garlett and Robbo playing. How do I say to my kids about a few current players joining them? How can we be passionate about the current list?

My 11 yo loves Carlton because his name is Carlton. My 7 yo loves Carlton because they have 23 flags.

Last weekend both won BOGs for their age groups and say they are performing because they want to play for the club.

I want to find a new sport to follow for a while. Im sick of this list management bullshit.

No one knows what they are talking about because the lot running the club dont know either other than we are in rebuild,,,after round 2.
That's just as bad as League players signing with the opposition half way through the season. My loyalty to AFL is something Im finding really difficult at present.

Trigg on 3AW explaining his definition of a rebuild. Not going to strip back list like some other clubs (I assume Dogs & Saints) and they brought in Jones etc to have experience to build a core to build around.

That's a deal breaker at Carlton. We don't like very good players we love champions!

That's what I'm hearing

Apart from your hearsay qualifier at the end, what's untrue about that?

The problem is, we can't identify the complementary types from the big impact players before we recruit them. It's been like that for years. We've spent too much time trying to 'complete' our list that we haven't discovered that the parts don't equal the sum of a potential premiership list. We need ball extractors, our answer - get Brocky, we need a tall defender or two; answer - Matthew Watson, we need outside run, answer - Blaine Boekhorst. Anyone with at least half a brain knows that kind of spot-filler logic won't get you the required talent to have a healthy AFL list. Even at the end of this year, it wouldn't surprise me if the club were to still prioritise beyond simply getting the best players to the club in the most opportune way possible. They just don't get it.

LoGiudice said the club would consider all options at the trade table... except for Murphy and Gibbs according to manbun.

The wisdom of making this public?

Gibbs and Murphy are in
The exceptions are Cripps . and those that have no currency
Look everybody might be on trade table.
For instance somebody might want to come home and the deal is menzel.. And it might be similar in quality but more what you need.
But you don't go public with a bullhorn in round 2 talking about what's what.
Who has anything to gain in this situation except a desperate board?

Must get the best player in the draft with our 1st pick. You don't select types so early in the draft.

Imagine if Melbourne had NicNat and the Saints had Petracca out there for them right now?
