You don't catch crow fans complaining that they bomb it to eddie one on one. Along with eating lollies that trick helped get Ratts fired.

Crows have other options whereas we didn't have as many. Well the ones we did have are now at other clubs.

The Crows are a client of mine (they use our Analysis Software) and i often chat to the coaching staff about how gutted I am about loosing Eddie to them.

Let's just say........ they couldn't understand why we let him go and are over the moon that they have him.

He's well loved by everybody too!

Gotta say........ I'm enjoying the fact that he's dominating over there. He was a great Carlton player and whilst it saddens me to no longer see him in Navy Blue, I'm glad he's doing well.
(Plus he's making us look stupid for letting him go and getting Daisy - so that's gotta be a good thing)

He'd be lucky to kick a goal a game in what is the worst team in the AFL.

Eddie demonstrates how poor our list management has become.
Great player and clubman...let go for the sake of saving a few pennies...while we pay $2.8m for washed up Daisy.
Disgrace.

Daisy is to Mick is what Mick Martin was to Pagen...

Highly paid coaches looking after highly paid mates.

Sadly, we are history repeating itself

Apart from the age factor... and that he was delisted by Norf

Mick wanted Daisey, and what Mick wants he gets.
Eddie wanted to stay at Carlton, desperately wanted to stay. Fact.
We couldn't afford them both. Like I said, what Mick wants...

We have a board and football operation manager don't we?
Nobody wanted to pay a small forward 500k
This is Mick's team but the club didn't have any checks and balances.
Basically nobody rated Eddie's role..
Anyway Eddie is the first to tell our players how much harder they have been working compared to what we had been doing.
I'm loving watching another Carlton player flourish away from our toxic set up.

I cant say Im loving it, but what it does prove is that there is something wrong with our set up.

We fail to see why players dont perform with current set up, game plan, relationships....
We fail to determine the players' 'use by date'.
We fail to determine the needs of the team/ llist.
We fail to get poour players to fitness level required to compete in AFL....just goes on and on.
We fail to embrace the modern game...a need for speed to compliment the grunt work.

The 1-2 week injuries tell me something is failing in the medical room too.

Shits me no end

Not sure. In the context that Adelaide had a potent forward line beforehand and weren't hard up for goal-kicking options (who's to say its not Walker, Jenkins, Lynch, Dangerfield, Cameron kicking a bag instead?) at least. That they have arguably the best ruck in the competition and two of the best mids in the comp delivering it to him doesn't get the respect it deserves either.

I get that Adelaide had to make a free agent statement after getting reamed with Bock, Davis and Tippett in the years before, but wonder if its a move they could afford to make in light of their three of their best players all coming out of contract this year?

If they win the flag this year - its simultaneously a fantastic list management decision and a poor one on our behalf. If they don't AND lose another key player this year, more questions should be asked about that decision at Adelaide's end.

It's great to see that in this "all things Carlton" topic of Talking Carlton Eddie has his own thread, Just goes to show how we all still love the guy and miss him.

On June 6 when we play the Crows let's applaud him and not boo him.

He can kick goals anywhere he likes so long as it's not in the scoreboard pocket. I'm sick to death of hearing all kinds of people in the media claming the stadium manage authority should name the pocket after Eddie. He's not the only guy to kick them from there and last time i checked it wasn't in a grand final either. Ask Peter Endersbee.

I'm glad he's playing well for the crows. It shows how stuffed we've become as a club!
