Yep, it's contrived 'theatre'.

The AFL will probably step in and 'manage' Micks respectful exit.... then invite Triggy and SOS over to AFL hq on a weekly basis to sort out our finances and the FD.... all the while our board will continue to pretend they know what they're doing.

This is essentially what I'm hoping for at this point, because I don't think there's enough willingness from ordinary members to really take charge at an AGM and work through a list of questions to get some real answers.

In this day and age any sort of political movement from the members is likely to be disorganised under some pre-tense of it being a collective rather than having leaders. Then you get unsavoury types having free reign to pop up and completely distort the spirit of the whole exercise.

He is clearly not the right coach and we need a change

I'm with you Hornet - this poor arguement that he hates the club and is taking it down with him is....unbelievable.

What does he gain from that? Like him or not he a competitor and survived the game.

We need supporters to push the club to turn around.....hopefully there not ones filled with the same blindsided emotion

what really annoys me are the lame excuses for the team performance - last night "we have 9 players with 50 games or less........."
doh, what about the doggies with 14 today and nearly knocked of freo - because their players have a red-hot go!!!!!!!!!!

The salary cap is not a bottomless pit.

Those flowerwits gave Judd, Carazzo and Waite more than they deserved.

Fancy paying 100% of the cap to our players...more laughable stuff

Would we ???
I admire Judd make no bones about it but ???
Kennedy
Fev
Robbo
Garlett
And based on his comments about players playing for contracts you would have to say Waite aswell
There is no doubt in my mind he has had a big influence on who has stayed and who has gone.
It was common knowledge about Fev
He didn't hold back about Garlett and Robbo
And who knows what else is said behind closed doors .
Also who couldn't we get because of salary cap.
MM has a lot to answer for but he is not alone

So we don't go to the games then. MLG and the board can go and watch them themselves.

For the same money the club can buy a Hyundai a week and drive it off a cliff. Would be more entertaining.

We were always going to be a mess, the issue is Mick has exacerbated it & made us fall off a cliff.

He's not at fault for having no players coming through etc. that's the fault of recruiters etc

Mick is at fault for making all our players go backwards & robbing us of any flair or excitement.

Disagree.

Our stoppage and contested footy has been good. We just need to move the ball quickly and not around the boundary line.
Don't give teams an opportunity to drop players behind the ball. We'd be a basket case if we couldn't win the ball first.
That's not the case.
A coach who instils belief and confidence in the players and presents a faster paced game style will reap rewards.
We won't be world beaters but we'll be far more competitive than we are currently.

Carlton have been in the shit long before CJ & MM.
2002 and beyond was pretty bad. It was the jumper that was pretty.

I love the way people try to excuse the Master Coach. Instead of just saying ... he has driven us to the bottom of the ladder ... its all about the club. Look I think the recruiting has been pretty bad ... but any other coach would have been drummed out of town. It was always a dumb decision to appoint him and now we are back at the bottom where Pagan left us.

He was going to be the finisher .... lol ... what a joke ... he has replaced half the side ... played a major role in bringing in duds like Jones and letting go Waite Betts and Garlett ...

So here we are once more at the bottom ... but the Madhouse has had nothing to do with it ... LOL ... what a joke.

Totally agree.
We were never quick in the midfield outside of Judd.
We have developed a strong work ethic on the inside.

We lost a bit of zip on our list since MM came along, and but have Boekhurst Walker (when fit) and Yarran of course. Armfield is good, and Thomas was, but can be useful. Murphy has to find his old speedy self.

But we really lack in the area of speed if that's all we've got.

We need a couple of quickies to add to this team Imo, add a fresh coach who gives the boys the confidence to play a more enjoyable and rewarding game plan and things change quickly.

MM unfortunately is somewhat disconnected from his players.
There is a disconnect in the process or it's just the game plan.
I reckon it's both.

We have got a good group we can work with. Imo.

We won't be world beaters but we'll be far more competitive than we are currently.

We're closing down the space at the stoppage to do that, and our clearances are too often blind kicks forward; pre-90s stuff.

We need take that bullocking ability and leave a few players outside, probably by having them on the move or further clear of the stoppage. Teams are happy to have us collapse in like that because as much as we win the ball, we play hot potato or worse with it. Need to just knock it clear to someone loose of the congestion until they decide to spread out some more to defend it.

Yes it's an old-school tactic, but it's mid-season and it'll work while we work on getting our stoppage play and reads up to a standard that helps us get over the oppositions tactics. That said, I've said this over and over again and they don't do much to address it. Needs to be a coordinated effort to open space up for the player that's got an easy match up or is in hot form, but we typically go 1v1 and hope the ball bounces our way.

None of this is worth a damn until they lift their intensity at training so their handling skills pick up. We fumble so much on match day compared to every other team, and every time I've seen us train we aren't moving the ball around and gathering at any where near that pace.

Has anyone ever considered the fact that opposition coaches dont mind us winning contested possessions? I reckon those numbers are artificially inflated
They just set up 30-50m ahead of the ball where we'll just bomb it...turnover central
