Really?

Our good players look like they're going through the motions to me & are counting down the rounds...
Our shit players are, well...just shit

Of the players that are to come back : Walker looks done, Kreuzer hasn't played in 2 years, Jamo was as putrid as Rowe has been before his injury & Simpson likewise. That leaves Cripps and Henderson.

I think we are [REDACTED] but you stay positive just the same

Who is going to be coaching us?

I know it's not me, because I'm not going to game. (In case anyone's interested.)

This will be another belting. Have we seen the last of Simpson? Would be good to have him back and get him to 250 games.

Made a deal with my brother last nite.
At least 3 ins of Simmo, Cripps and one of Hendo/Jammo or we don't go.
Then we both laughed
cos we knew there's about a 1 percent chance we'll go anyway.

You had to be there yesterday, and watch the Ressies followed by the 2sies
to fully appreciate the joke I think.

What was the ressies like? We'd been doing okay up until yesterday.

Geelong are looking a little past-it, struggling to run out games and probably bricking it at the prospect of missing top four or even the finals.

This will go down to the wire. Cats by 54.

I'm in awe of them!
I'm also a genius coach,
but my players are total crap.
Now, extend my contract and give me a pay rise.

It will a belting sadly, and may well be for all the games to the mid-break.
We'll need to regroup and explore how to rescue some respect and a way forward for the remainder of the season.
Go Baggers

We made 8 changes last week, I would suggest we settle on players in positions and try to work on some cohesion and understanding. Surely there was a plan pre-season I'd go back to whatever rehearsed plan that was, and keep it simple.
You can't undo horrible recruitment, inept tactics and horrid player development in a few weeks but we have to give something. I imagine 16k crowd is still a large financial loss at Docklands and it will get worse. 700k is a large parachute for MM but waiting till season end means there will probably be at least 3 other clubs in front of the new coach queue, and maybe we get some bounce back from the list and fans. Dare I say the next coaching choice could well determine more than just our immediate future but our relevance longer term in the league.
It's just about salvaging the last shreds of respect at the moment.

Jimmae, I don't think you can promote a rookie when a rookie (Sheehan) is LTI. If that's what you meant?

Good point!

I'm guessing Byrne will have the mid-season rookie spot held for him then, assuming Giles is still on track to return to full training in 2 months?

Wasn't Sheehan the upgraded rookie though? So if he moves to the LTI it would enable us to upgrade a different rookie in his place?

Anyway, having said that I wouldn't be upgrading anyone at this point.

Changes for this week?

Assuming Simpson, Cripps, Henderson & Jamison are fit I'd bring them all in and be dropping Watson, Ellard, Armfield & White. Personally would like Graham for Carrazzo too, but don't expect it. In fact I don't really expect they'll drop White either, so Dick is probably at risk of losing his spot too.
