Ah the rumours of the "Carlton Way" process. I hope not and as has been said many times, a properly conducted selection process based on merit should be put in place.

I hope so but I wouldn't trust this mob to do that.

I have more faith in our process then I have in Kim Hagdorn getting anything right, which says a lot about the author's credibility.....

I always rated him as a coach. One of the few that hated flooding. Thought he was always more focused on attacking. Which is something we need.

I'd take him!

No, that would just be another big name repeating what we have already done.

Need to have a proper process and get the best candidate from that.

Do a self evaluation first of every aspect of the football department, including past, present and future (say next 5 years) scenarios, call in an independent panel to look at the data and do an external review of the self evaluation.

Thrash out the two until an agreed consensus is reached.

from that, develop a real football philosophy that doesn't include unachievable motherhood statements.

Create a strategic plan which covers every area (recruiting, development, list management, fitmess, NB alignment, coaching, mentoring, succession planning for both onfield and off field, footbball strategy/game plan, future directions of the game, best practices from other sports etc etc etc.)

AND THEN, GO THROUGH A FLOWERING RIGOROUS PROCESS TO FIND THE BEST PEOPLE AVAILABLE TO MAXIMISE OUR CHANCES OF DELIVERING ON THE OUTCOMES OF THE PLAN

Or you can do what Carlton do...and just appoint Worsfold. Makes me sick to the guts.
The entire board and that puppet prez can all take a flying firetruck tonight
"we're in a re-building mode but we just need some wins at the moment"....My god, this is laughable

We could swap with Richmond, I don't think Hardwick is bad at all, its more their list isn't great, I mean how well should they be doing?

I don't mind their list.

Jack is a true FF, Martin is a flower but has talent, Cotchin is an A grader with leadership, Deledio is down of form a bit but is still good......
I just think they have no self belief. They get a sniff and then realise "Oh wait - we;re Richmond, we're not supposed to win stuff!"

bomber has his own baggage..but
I really miss an attacking game plan.
i loved the way the Cats played, and the Bombers played really well (mostly ) under him as well.
He's got something.
Don't want another old fart in Woosha.
I don't believe we'd get him after malty anyway.
I'd get Bomber with a view to him mentoring Voss...or Lenny ..or whoever has loads of promise.
If i were King that is.
I'd sack Malty..make the board pay..cos it is their fault..
then I'd hire Bomber, and do a due process for the next in line.
In other words..like Melbourne did.

Oh, and I'd sakc the board after they paid out Malty.
Then we'd all vote on who might be worthy to run our club.
