Swear its the same people pissing and moaning about Whiley getting carved up by Pendlebury that wished we had a coach that would give the kids a go like when that Malthouse bloke put Wellingham on Judd....

Making 7 Changes by replacing the Young with the Old can only confirm and prove that MM is now fighting for his Career as he is chasing some Wins and NOT concerned a bit about the re-building that he keeps rubbishing us with!!

But what about The Mummy v King Tutt clash. Bruce and Dennis will love it.

MM has drunk from the poisoned chalice to save the once mighty CFC. Otherwise known as Tanking.

Might go and watch the NBs so I don't have the club ringing me again about not using my membership.

Those ins are awful. At least Boek and Smith can hit a target. Graham incredibly stiff and pace obviously not required so goodbye Buckley. Just have to laugh I suppose.

Mick playing checkers.

The biggest decision for mine was finally dropping Jones who has dramatically under-performed since he started. I look forward to seeing a forward line with Casboult and Watson in it. Let's hope from them we have a few big grabs and goals.

At last someone talking sense.

em , weren't you saying you know for a fact that the NBs game plan is the same as Carlton?
If we then get the players to play different roles then that's even MORE stupid... Although I think that's probably happening also.
As interested as I am to watch the NBs and compare/contrast with Carlton, I can't bear to watch the tripe (players, plan, selections, AND especially the lack of coaching) that is Carlton at the moment.
I'll see what others say.... at best.

Sad thing is I rarely would get too critical about these things, just used to enjoy the footy with my kids... BUT these decisions are so bad both before and during game day that you can't miss it.

only 16 more weeks Drewgirl

Actually don't think it will last that long. It can't.

If we lose on the weekend the we have Geelong, Sydney, Adelaide before the bye we could easily be 1-9 and on the bottom of the ladder. Surely something has to be done by then? Has me barracking for a loss this weekend. :?

I hope GWS smash us.
What is achieved by dropping Bucks, Graham and Whiley?
Drop that 7 year underperformer GIbbs!!!
Walker's injury is a blessing in disguise. His career is effectively over..turnover king

Now wtf did boekhorst do wrong last week. Nothing, he had a dip.

I don't get it. If only they could possibly let graham and Whiley play a full game without having to tag or playing for 15 mins to see how they go.

Apart from some possessions going astray, what did smith do wrong? He needs to get used to the tempo of the game to get better.

They drop the young ones first, the seniors can do as they like and stay in.

Does anyone reckon Thomas was better than boekhorst last week? Not on star status , on last week alone? Thomas cant it kick 40 meters anymore.

We pay $700k to a guy to sit in the forward pocket, he was meant to be our star midfielder.... He does not even kick goals.

But that's ok mick wants to play kick to kick with his son.

Arrrrrgggggg sick of this shit..

Agree with this Dg. I'd just play Smith as a defensive fwd to put pressure on defenders and he may also snag a couple on the crumb. Thomas is an absolute joke ATM. We know he's had injury dramas but is he actually ever going to get back to anywhere near 2010 form ? Not for mine, in fact he's shaping as the worst $2.8m the CFC has ever spent :yikes:

Carrots getting a game is a disgrace. Are we playing him as a salute to his previous years of service ? Surely not. Tutt should get a go on high VFL posies and White is just a pretty average plodder with no upside (something we thought he had 4 years ago).

And Boekhurst seemed to play most of the game as a HFF unless I'm mistaken. And he's a quick outside line breaker, something we are very short on and have been for a while.

Walker maybe be out with a knee, but should have been omitted anyway, as he was putrid last week.

Rapt that ?Watto is in but.....lookout son, you better blitz or you'll be dropped for a month

Spot you... Bagged for not running and spreading... And we have no players who can run

Of course. I realise know that what we're doing with BB , Bucks, Graham, Watson and Smith is 'state of the art' player development.
Sorry, carry on

We'll win.
White is a good in. Hard at it, young and versatile
Carazzo is getting on but is still best 22. You pick your best 22 every weekk and if one of them is 33, so be it.
Menzel has been doing OK in the twos and is in our best 22.
Watson had to come in so Jones can gey his mojo in the twos.
Dick? I wouldn't know how he's been going but maybe they want to give him a run.
Yarran is an automatic in.
Tutt? Same as Dick.

Walker injured? OK.
Buckley had to make way for Yarran no argument there.
Graham, makes way for Carazzo. No argument there as long as Carazzo is in the best 22.
Jones had to go.
Whiley probably could have stayed unless Dick was banging away.
Boekhurst ditto for Tutt.
Smith will play good footy for us but has to go for Menzel.

In short, if you bring in 7, seven have to go. I can live with it but could also have lived with Whiley and Boekhurst staying in and Dick and Tutt waiting a bit longer.

Carazzo's time is almost up. Graham or Whiley will take over his spot when the time comes. Meanwhile he plays. It's nice to have some fringe mids who are bashing the door down. It's called depth.

The issue for me isn't the selectioms so much as what are we going to do with them. Watson has good hands and is a beautiful kick but if he is going to have to run from FF to CHB every time the Giants get the pill, he'll blow up before quarter time. There s no point at all lin having no stay at home forwards. He and Menzel at least have to stay inside the F50. menzel high and Watson deep, leading at the ball carrier. But NO chest marks allowed.
