I raised weeks ago that Jones should be trailed at CHB. He doesn't get enough of the ball, nor does he kick straight when he does, so maybe a back line position may save his job.

Id prefer to trail that in the 2's. But it's an interesting point.

Back to the old days (sort of) with the Northern Blues v North Ballarat curtain raiser prior to the main game. Be good to see some of the other boys in action.

You know playing Jones at CHB could be a good idea. If I remember correctly, it has done wonders for Henderson & Rowe, who had experienced similar problems when they first started. It may be just the thing needed for Jonesy to gain some confidence & dont worry he sure will see enough ball....

I love how Carlton have to turn most KP forwards into backs because they can't make it as a forward. Watson is about the only one who has gone the other way and that certainly isn't working out.

CHB is just a silly idea for Jones. Surely he's a tagger

Bulldogs tried playing him there on several occassions. Looked lost and just doesn't have the disciplne or the football smarts. Just a complete waste of time and money. Whoever signed him should be sacked.

Even I could see what he was like that from the limited time I watched him at the doggies.

Was it MM or Rodgers or McKay's idea? Why a three year deal to a reserve grade player at a club struggling and crying out for a key forward? People say it didn't cost much. I totally disagree. 3 years salary cap space and pick 46. As an example pick 47 last year was Cory Gregson. Wouldn't he be a handy player for us now and in the future?

Would they have made Jones any promises/commitments to get him to come across? If they promised him a spot in the starting team in the forward line their hands might be tied.

Doesnt mean a spot in the forward liine forever.

His last shot at goal the other night depicted his confidence levels.

I feel fo him. I was glad to sign him up, and believe in is upside.

In fact Ive enjoyed his efforts competing against 2 opponents several times. That shows desire and a bit of pride. I liked the way he moved across the gorund, only to see the ball go to the otherside from mids not in coontrol, or balls over his head...not his fault...but its the other stuff, impoortant stuff for a KPF, missing easy shots at goal which tells me he is not prepared for senior footy....yet.

Right now, it is time to send a message to him. Learn your craft in the twos and show signs you are above that level and you're welcome back. FFS learn to kick straight.

Tied? Doubt that would be in a contract. If he gets the shites and walks, where would he walk to? and would we be too concerned?

I've got to start focussing on this weeks game.

That's what my kids are interested in, and, I've got to sell them some hope without giving them false expectations. I hate the way they are getting use to losing and noot crying as much as before after a loss.

Sell hope...and some excitement:

2 more sleeps!!!

So the players are embarrassed for their supporters and will do better.

Our leaders Gibbs and Murphy are going to get a hell of a lot better...they said so.

Walker will stop playing like a stale player.

Jaksch and Whiley too playy against their old team mates and fire up!!

Wood probably continues to be #1 ruck...depsite running out of petrol after half time last week.

Maybe Kreuzer is worth the risk as a forward.
Maybe Kreuzer will replace Jones.
Casboult is kicking straighter than Jones.

No one suspended.

Yarran and Simpson back!!!! more run. YES
Henderson back to give us some KP class. YES

Carrazzo...might nott need him coz we are going with pace???
He might replace whhiley. Hope not.

Would have loved to have Byrne and Sheehan playing but we cantt have everything.

We might win this if we play atttacking footy, get the ball first and no turnovers.
Maybe GWS played their GF last week against the Hawks.

Might draw up a team...nah lets wait for the teams at 6pm.

I'm sure they offered him a run of games, but he would have likely met those this week. Never heard of a player getting a minimum commitment higher than 6.

There were a few good names, and I would hope we would have looked at them too.
