If their reporting standards aren't to the satisfaction of the candidate, I think they'd go to the press, and they'd quickly be verified through proper channels. Unless you think they have the entire press core in their back pocket? Even if they had the AFL media (which they clearly don't), how many business reporters would happily take a bonafide story of corruption on?

This isn't the illuminati Synners... there's only so many people they can reach out to that make sense from a cost/time perspective. I think it's reasonably independent and offers more information to members than before.

I can't be bothered researching the two guys further, but I think you're trying to play along a very strange spectrum: the closer they are to the club the stronger their potential allegiances to existing power-brokers, the further they are the more chance they don't care and can be bought.

Unless they are of good moral standing, and then they're largely incorruptible, which is what this seemingly boils down to in your mind: everyone is corrupt until proven otherwise. Which you never truly can without being everywhere with them, including inside their thoughts.

So, we come back to trust.

If you notice something about this great board and it's great vitality.. As a whole assembling of the board ,including the president they have bit come from grass roots member democratically elected sources but from handshake invitations.

Hi All just rang club - I and several other Dardews are full AFL -CARLTON SUPPORT MEMBERS - we have been carlton support members for about 10 years but me in particular over 20 - rang the membership department to make sure we are voting members ie so we can vote at AGM this year because obviously it is an important one -guess what they haven't got record of any of us - this is even though I have voted in the past at Carlton AGMS but not recently

Does anyone know what the status of AFL - CARLTON SUPPORT MEMBERS are under our Constitution -I remember in the dim dark past AFL members used to get forms asking them whether they wanted to vote at AGM
