BTW ...... Today was probably the worst I've seen Walker play. Confidence totally shot.

The whole backline have been abandoned by the coaching staff.

Left to clean up this mess by themselves.

See Emily Play better than anyone at Carlton?

I reckon he is still pissed at Bucks for not clapping him off the field after we got pumped by the Pies.

if we are struggling to kick goals - why on earth was Menzel playing in the 2s? Both he and Watson should be on the ground. at least Watson will try and Menzel is an option. Jones is quickly becoming a MASSIVE error in recruiting - Mick was saying that he's a VERY VERY good footballer...... when Mick....when? it's not now....

MM is still coaching as he was 10 years ago, all the other clubs are developing their coaching practices and keeping up with current trends, though MM is still 'sticking with it'. STICKING WITH WHAT MICK?? a coaching strategy from 10 years ago??? IT DOESN'T WORK. chatting with some of the Bulldogs coaching staff a week ago, they were saying that they've given the players freedom to run, try, create and back themselves, they said that they aren't too sure how long it'll last before they crack (due to tiredness) but highlighted that they won't be downgraded or shat apon if they flower up. great attitude about letting talented players 'have a go' use what they have and not be punished for messing up. if only we had a young influential coach who know's how to coach in the current climate.

WTF is going on with our club that we all love. it's sooooooooo Disappointing that we look so bad.

Yes he's cleaned us out over the last few years, he's built good lists and have developed many other players, but this was years ago... he is so far off the mark at the moment. the players look bored. like they couldn't give a shit. it's driving me crazy.

Why is Buckley immune to criticism on this site? Any time a bad word is spoken about him it is met with people singing his praises. He's in his fourth year, is 22 years old and is still not a proven AFL player, despite being at a club in desperate need of outside runners.

He had 10 touches and 1 tackle yesterday, hardly standout stats, and his defensive work stills needs a lot of improvement.

I hope he makes it, I like his dash and attacking mindset, but let's call a spade a spade sometimes.. Despite that spade being the son of a club legend.

This is a concern.
MM has real issues with pets and enemies.
Its how he pumps himself up.
Buckley co7ld be ruined by MM's ego.
This is one reason to hope for an early exit from Malty.
That and the possibility of some fun, attacking footy til years end..
And hopefully from there on.

Have heard there is some bad blood between Mick and Buckley at Carlton. Unsure what it is about.

Never thought I would see the day when Casboult was not the worst Key Forward shot for goal in any Carlton team. Saw it yesterday, well done Levi, maybe give that Footscray player next to you some goal kicking tuition!

Live by the sword and you die by the sword.

If Buckley wants to take the game on, good on him. We need line breakers.
But if does and he continues to run into trouble or fumbles he is in the spot lliight for mine.

not our biggest issue, but call a spade a spade.
Bower copped it for doing the same.

Maybe its partly the GP that there's no one else to pass to forward of the play.
Im now questioning on the GP.

Yes Jaksch and Buckley turned over the ball a lot, but its the lack of options from a running player I have a problem with.

the problem with running players in our team right now, and this was abundantly clear with one of the best in yarran.

they take delivery of the ball, put their head down and clap on the afterburners and then after a bounce they look up and see a completely empty front 50. sometimes from the centre square to our goals not one single carlton player exists. it's baffling for me watching. i can't begin to understand what runnings players like yarran and buckley are thinking when mick's neutering their best asset. run & carry and breaking lines taking the game on.

buckley's best is taking the game on, and right now, that's not an option. he must be out there thinking whats the point in collecting the ball? it's just a disposal error waiting to happen.

Spot on.

We lack an identity on the field. I don't know what we stand for and how we play.

We have a game plan that simply doesn't work for us
and mm is to stubborn to change it.

As I recall one of the reasons that Robert Walls was sacked after that Brisbane Bears game in 1989, was the fact he had too many game plans.

Worst game I will see all year! And perhaps all of Carlton games.
On the positive side, pass marks to Casboult (no pun), Bell, Cripps and Curnow.
