I really dont mind the loss. I saw it as getting games into kids. That is what rebuilds are all about and that is what we applauded when the rebuild was announced. If we can get some good development ala the dogs under Macca for the rest of the year then we are at least heading in the right direction.

I am gutted the club didnt smash the list up after 2012. We could have got picks for players we lost for nothing. We could have got picks for players that were not gelling together. We chose to blame 2012 on the coach and got a new coach in by popular demand and he didnt even show up to trade week. Started talking flags instead.

Lost years.

I fell off his wagon today.

Good luck to him.

Can't blame service upfield today.

He showed his stuff.

we could have the best 4 forwards in the league on our list and they would struggle in the nonsensical game plan malthouse plays

all the numbers up the ground and at the contest , win the contest and go ................. shit......nowhere........nobody forward of the ball.

putrid stuff

We could have Buddy Franklin and we'd still be useless. Can't kick goals without a forward line.

Ratten should never have been removed.

We've got what we deserved. Oh ... and a big thank you to the Pokie King.

Ratten was the reason why Murphy and Gibbs were never developed properly.

These two only need to give a 6 out of 10 performance and still gets a game week in week out under Ratts.

They never had to work hard in their entire career. Never seen them played 4 quarters of good footy.

Didn't Murphy win the Coaches Award under Ratten?

Thomas had a disclocated shoulder, but recovered from that
Had a full preseason..
Plenty of time for his ankle to be at its best.

Couldn't kich 45.
Gave it off to Walker ho can't kick 40, and failed to get close from 50.

Good mark...from unsuspecting contest.

Betts..Thomas.. Time will tell.
Eddie kicked another bag.
How's Jacobs going?

Yes.

I hope they develop to great AFL players in the next couple years.

Was the crowd posted at the game? AFL site has it as TBC.

Tad over 20,000 they said.

Now that's more concerning than the loss if you ask me.

I was at the game and they posted 20,700 but I don't think that there was more than 15,000 if that at the game...

Malthouse didn't hire himself. It was the dipshit board. They are the culprits. They need to @#$%&! off. They are still there ruining the club and there is nothing we can do about it.

Malthouse is past it.

He is but like i said he didn't hire himself. We are [REDACTED] and we as supporters can't do shit about it. We never voted for the president or members of the board and they still haven't be made to account for the pathetic way our club is run.

The supporters were pretty keen to get him in if i remember correctly. The board were crap for listening to the nuff nuffs.

The whole play at the end of 2012 was completely wrong.

We needed to smash the list up that pre season. It was so obvious at the time.

exactly and we are in no man's land now

the recruitment of Everitt, Thomas and Jones were awful mistakes (didn't learn from the McLean and Warnock trades)

can't have continual errors with our recruiting

simply not sustainable

those who think we have a reasonable list are kidding themselves

Judd has carried Murphy and Gibbs' lack of work ethic since he has been at Carlton. He can't do it anymore and their lack of skills or work ethic in this area are sorely exposed.

Like 99/100 coaches, ratten conveniently ignored it. Judd was that good.

The problem then and now is we are easily bullied and cannot stop hardworking big bodied midfield dominating large chunks of the game- often at the beginning of games or in 3rd qtrs when the heat is on. We were very good at flying home when the sting was out of games.

Without The Judd of old, everyone's deficiencies are exposed now. Those deficiencies carpeted over by the quality of Judd are there for all to see.

The likes of Murphy and Gibbs should be in a position of fighting for their careers now... They are safe at Carlton.

Everitt was not a mistake. We traded like 4 or 5 places back in the draft and picked him up. He has been better than most

Funny how our best trade chose us. We didn't even know he existed.

sorry but completely disagree

ordinary player taking up a position on our list

if our club had the foresight and commenced a proper rebuild after 2012, there is no way he would have ended up at Carlton

we were simply treading water and now sinking fast

How was everyone Mother's Day? Nice lunch? A feeling of thanks and giving?

I had a good mothers day, thanks. Unfortunately I went to the footy.
Did anyone else get the feeling that the players thought they would pay tribute to Mother's day by playing like their mothers?
