The kick on the ground post 'game' was enough to shake off my blues for the weekend. Gee the surface has improved out of sight.

Ratten should never have been removed.
.

Your right.
We should've waited a year and then moved him on and gotten Roos.

well,
no guarantee we would have gotten him,
but geez,
it would have been worth trying.

(wouldn't fix the way the club is run though, and we simply must gut the place and start again.)

all our ranting and venting is therapeutic, but who amongst us has ny power to change the board, and from that the culture of the place?
there must be an opposition ticket to this board raised, and pronto.

or tonto..whichever.

Not sure what everyone expected. MM is not a miracle worker.

In saying that, he ripped the heart out of our list and appeared to have no succession plan. You can handle seasons like this if the path forward is clear. It is not at Carlton.

So in essence, Mick has had a lot to do with making this bed(not all), but he alone will have to lie in it now

20 mins into the last and both he and our skipper had duck eggs

Murphy had a few token possies late but can't remember Tushay having any... leadership

Ratten should never have been removed.

We've got what we deserved. Oh ... and a big thank you to the Pokie King.

Ratten was the reason why Murphy and Gibbs were never developed properly.

These two only need to give a 6 out of 10 performance and still gets a game week in week out under Ratts.

They never had to work hard in their entire career. Never seen them played 4 quarters of good footy.

Scary thing about all this is that we haven't hit rock bottom in terms of our list rebuild. Logic says we have to continue to go backwards before we can move forwards, which means the next two to three years suffering more defeats than wins!!!
And that's if we get our drafting right!!!

If he doesn't look like he's past it then we'll take you to OPSM.

Funny ... I was going to say Blind. Then I thought ... its not really worth answering.

MADHOUSE MUST GO!

He will be gone. Whoever takes over will make you feel better because carlton will improve just like the woody we all got from Ratten. However, unless we fix the systemic issues at every level we will end up in the same position in 5 years.

No clue...

Almost circular. Rock bottom ------3 years-------> 5th-------3 years------> rock bottom. The gun coaches are the rock bottoms. Guess which one Ratts was.

Simple bottom line analysis is what has left us in this predicament. Ratten inherited 3 no 1 draft picks, an 80 goal season forward and the best player in the comp and left us with no list and no game plan

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

There's a few on here that always bagged those players, said they wouldn't be a great loss..... How you feeling now?

I'm staggered at was this flog has done to our forward line... And Menzel in the 2nd's today.....

I don't understand why, when you have a team that is good at getting clearances, we clear out our forward 50. It has happened every game. It's ridiculous. Opposition park a couple back and we're [REDACTED].

verbs, do you reckon if the players ignored MM's apparent direction to clear the forward 50, but consequently kicked some more goals, they would be dragged?

Now Now Fellas, we going to win that spoon....But lets try & keep a lid on it...Don't want to get ahead of ourselves, a week at a time....
Seriously, we are giving some all important game time to some young ones. Now this will give us at least a gage on who can at least play a bit. Sure we going to loose, but we were going nowhere anyways. Who knows by seasons end we may have uncovered a few gems....And at the same time who we dont need.

Are you blind? I agree about poor recruiting but MM's had this list for 3 years and has destroyed it. Jones, Dick, Tutt, Whiley, Thomas are all on his watch. Warnock for Jamison last week is a rookie coach mistake not one that's been coaching since the 80's.

When the whips were cracking in the last quarter he had Graham and Whiley in the first few centre bounces and Brisbane duelly responded. Thomas said on radio that he didn't thing Beams contributed much and thought that Whiley got the chocolates there.... :banghead: :banghead: Get rid of them both!!

2002 > 2015

We are where we are because our list as is shit as it is. We are with the lions etc.. We will prob win 4-5 games this year. And we played a side just as talented (lack of) than us, difference they were desperate and they got the key momentum late in the 3rd. And our leadership is insipid. Murphy should be given a block of 6 games, if there's no improvement in his leadership, he gets demoted plain and simple! Casboult kicked straight today you thought it might have been our day....

Malthouse will get sacked because that's what happens when your team underperforms. All the rank and file supporters think it's the coach, it's the players at fault... Malthouse is no Tim Watson or Tony shaw. Were just a shit team with a shit list... If we still had the bowers, Joseph, McCarthy, Mitchell, mcinness, Kerr, these superstars that rattan and his merry men recruited we would be in a worse position. Or we could play 'positive' football still lacking a defensive backbone and we would still be nowhere near the top 8...

The most disappointing thing about today is how we put up the white flag against the bottom side for 15 minutes. Therefore we ended up losing...

Sick of this....

Don't underestimate the IMPORTANCE of leadership in how a teams seasons unfolds as well. Who's our esteemed captain? Wouldn't you rather a project player Or a battling straggler who does all the team things and busts his ass, to be captain? Even duigan would have been better for our team as on field captain and that's an indictment on our playing group!

I wouldn't be judging any of our young kids at the moment. What a horrible situation to be in. Shows how good Cripps is.
