I'm 12 months ahead of this because I lapsed my membership last year after the previous 12 years and then took it up again this year. I'm not privvy to the inner machinations of the Blues machine, I just want to see a team playing like they give a 5h1t, lucky my membership wasn't due this week!

Clubs sell hope and entertainment, give us that. Boredom, failure, excuses and mediocrity aren't sale-able products, give us less of that. I think we all know that we aren't going to win the premiership this year, let's start hearing what the club is going to do to fix it. Not jingoe's and BS, let's hear what is going to claw our way up the ladder. Less of this 'doing everything we can' rubbish! What exactly are you doing and why are you doing it. If the club wants engagement, bring us on the journey, let us see where this is all going, what is the plan. Of course before you do this you genuinely need to have a plan and that might have been the problem all along!

Bruce Gibbs to play like he gives a shit
Murphy to stop smiling with the opposition on the ground after a humiliating loss
Casboult to learn how to kick.
Warnock to,learn how to take a mark and provide a contest
Kruezer to get on the park, and stay there

So in all probability, I never will

One thing, and one thing only...

Carlton existing in a sport where systematic team wide drug cheating is actually punished by the governing body...

A time machine so I could go back in time and not pay for my membership.

For me, there's not much the club can do to make me renew.

It's more an AFL thing for me now. It's all too contrived... and lacking integrity.

Carlton is just a subsidiary ....

Sadly, this is true for me too.
What MIGHT bring me to renew a membership is if Carlton candidly and regularly question the Essendon* decision and referred to them openly as drug cheats. I'd put my money behind that kind of honesty.

A clean out of the board.

A clear direction regarding re build with everyone heading in the same direction.

A full change in coaching and development following an extensive recruiting process.

New Football Manager and full review of fitness and medical positions.

Carlton reserve grade side playing out of PP.

Trading of some senior players and nothing but 8-10 draft picks including 5 inside top 30 for a minimum of 3 years. Kids, kids & kids.

New Captain.

No quick fixes.

No recruitment of free agents for the next 3 years minimum.

No more "Donations" to be accepted from rich benefactors. Become a full membership and sponsorship based club.

Effort on field driven by next generation.

That's a start.

PS I read this today and IMO sums us up perfectly.

"Change will only occur for Carlton if they accept reality and lay the foundation for a consistent rebranding full of hope rather than fluff and confusion. "

I agree with most of the above for me to renew next year. I've been a member for over 10 years. My 11 yo son also since he was born. Sadly he is lost to Carlton now. He now knows he has to hate Essendon* more than he has to love Carlton. We are both AFL members close to getting gold... But I am sick of giving these monkeys my money to ruin the club I loved. I will be cancelling my memberships next year.

Above all, I want the board gone and accountability for whoever replaces them. Sadly this won't happen.

Its more than Carlton's fault, more than winning or losing, here are some of my reasons.

Fix this:
Getting home after night games is a pain with metro, never enough trains
I dont like the LED signs blasting adds in my face non stop, if I wanted adds I would stay home and watch on tv
Night games start too late, they should start at 7pm
Sunday twilight games are no good
Still way too many smart ars#s at the footy
Too many games with no atmosphere (GWS, GCS, Bris, etc)

My thoughts on next year:
I might just get the 3 game reserve seat membership Ess, Coll, Rich
Then just pick and choose a few Saturday games that interest me during the season and pay at gate
I don't care about supporting the club with $$, the AFL will keep us afloat regardless
The AFL have allowed the game to be hijacked by TV so I may as well just watch it on TV, switch it off and go to bed

Whilst the club has wealthy benefactors, they sure as hell don't need me.

They agree.

On field, I want to see consecutive seasons where more players improve than stay stagnant or regress. How many players on our list have improved in the past 12 months?

I don't need to be giving money to a club who don't need it (or they'd have asked why no renewal) only to see no plan, no improvement and no heart. I've got better things to spend money on... Like pizza shapes.

My non membership is more about the AFL of which CFC is a byproduct of.

CFC as a whole has been rooted for over a decade. We are toy for some rich people. I have no interest in being a member of a club that lacks a backbone or heart or any business nous.

Geoffrey Eldestein. Need I say more.

Perhaps they tolerate wealthy benefactors because the members don't kick in enough?

The AFL has killed the game.

Used to love going to the suburbs and being proud of having an identity to the suburb and playing the opposition.

Now every club is a franchise, has to have pre-game gimmicks and it's all rather souless.

It's not a Carlton issue, it's a broader AFL one. The contrived nature of it all makes me seek local football where there is bonafide competition. The AFL is sports entertainment now and it's hard to get enthused.

I have an MCC membership and prior to this year I got the 17 game Carlton one to support the club.
Now to budget better and the club being awful I though maybe only the MCC Carlron one which would get me into home games at Etihad.
After last week I think flower that I can't be bothered even going to games if their going to serve that up.
If it gets to the point where someone hardcore like me stops caring their in massive trouble.
Also the LED signs at games make it harder to watch and better to watch on TV for night matches.
But if the club stopped trading in bull shit cliches and were honest like St Kilda have been I may look at coming back on board.
Sadly I think that won't happen until the current board is wiped out.

The players trying and putting in consistent effort would be a good start

Our performances and efforts are insipid.

If the players dont give a shit why should I?

Pretty simple as far as im concerned. You are with 'em,or agin 'em.No such thing as 99% loyal. You are loyal or you aint.Just shut the eff up and get behind the club.Despite what you all think, the wheel is turning and behind the scenes the people that count are giving there all.

A complete spill of board positions
A side even if it lacks experience and skill that gives a great effort every week
