Menzel looks a gun and will be when he fit. Stevie J was always a half forward. It's only been in recent years he done alot of midfield work. If Menzel is a gun at half forward I'll be most happy and what we recruited him as. Classy player that one.

 We can argue all we want BKB but proof will be in results. I actually hope you're right but at the moment I don't see it.

..when fit enough o be creative as a high hf, he will be an asset.. ..needs a bit of extra time due to the setbacks.. ..maybe we've been rebuilding since drafting him, then crisps.. ..we are aiming for a few years time..

Menz had OP in the 2012/2013 preseason & hip surgery in the 2013/2014 preseason. So he's had one proper preseason & now missed a few weeks with a calf injury & hence is being managed through the VFL until he makes it through without an injury scare (i.e. hammy scare last week).

Not to mention his lack of conditioning when we drafted him due to his knee.

Hard to build a tank after only 1 uninterrupted preseason.

If he's being managed through the VFL to build a fitness base, that's fair enough given his lack of pre seasons and game time.

Why name him as an emergency then? If we have 3 players don't make it between now and Sunday, he'd have to play.

It makes sense. Preferred option is to play him in the ressies but if we're stretched in the seniors he's good enough to give a run if he's really needed there.

Not really.

If we don't think he's fit enough to run a game out in the seniors then you don't play him, regardless.

I'm not a fan of Warnock, but i thought he was better than wood last week. Looks like he is definitely gone if he can't get a game ahead of wood he is on the way out. Yet another expensive drafting mistake.

No good at drafting, no good at trading, no good at free agency, the future looks great.

I have no idea why he was named as emergency when the MC believe he isn't fit to play AFL this week. But he is definitely playing VFL so he can be managed. They wanted him to play 3/4 last week and then play AFL this week but the fact he pulled up sore before 3/4 time last week has added another week of VFL. If he gets through this week he will play AFL next week.

Menzel doesn't work hard enough.

Saw at training this week when Buttifant put the players through some 100's. He was lagging in every one.

I was also present at the VFL game he last played. His attitude was poor, he was just floating and had no real buy in.

AFL advises Kade Simpson has withdrawn from Carlton team for tmrw rd6 match v Bris Lions. Clem Smith comes into 22 from outside emergencies.

Looks like the emg are only lip service and there coz we have to name them.
Makes more sense now with the Menzel situation that emtwenty was talking about..
Go Clemmy give Robbo heaps and run through him

Simpson has hamstring tightness. Was gesturing to Buttifant like Whiley did a few weeks back.

Far out, why have emergencies then. Put Menz in, if not fit why is he an emergency?

You should provide training reports for the board. Seems like you're there every week

But we have to have three emergencies so of course a third emergency has been named. Am I missing something here? Why the frusties at smith being named?

Or has he been named in the 22? If so, shut my face.
