The only way we can get a good pick for Bryce ( I think it was mentioned before) is if Dangerfield leaves Adelaide and they use that compo pick to get Bryce. Adelaide have always wanted him and are the only team who will pay overs for him. It all depends where Adel finish on the ladder.

You have to take it, esp if it is a top 10.

I agree, fingers crossed this happens.

We need to ensure we get their maximum value. Not point trading like we did in Pagan's second year. That was the pits!

Trade time for Gibbs. Good point about the compo pick for Dangerfield if he leaves maybe both Adelaide's 1st round picks for Gibbs and plus our 2nd round pick or trade for another 2nd rounder hopefully Adelaide finish low in the top8.

If it's Adelaide, Sam Kerridge and first round pick for Gibbs.

Yea lets trade him ... who knows we might just pick up another Liam Jones.

I can't believe how you guys get sucked in. I noticed Loyd (with a big smirk on his face) pushing hard for Carlton to trade away all our best players ... If thats the mentality we will be stuck at the bottom a very long long long time. Just plain dumb ... the media laughs, the opposition laughs and indeed we are quite laughable ... Richmondesque.

Viva the Madhouse.

People laugh at us for various reasons and one of those is because we virtually never entertain the notion of trading payers that are actually worth something in return. The same old arguement is repeated year after that you are supposed to never trade away your good players and yet it's taken for granted that we only ever get s*** coming back our way. It's a wonder we'd have any good players to trade in the first place. Apparently, the only draft picks worth having are the ones we are given by the AFL and still we give them up for the the likes of Liam Jones.

Let's just sit on our arses with looks on our faces that are a mix of bewilderment and arrogance and wait for a miracle to happen instead. I can still remember the time where we bluntly refused to accept two second round draft picks (in a good draft) for Brett Thornton - and a fat lot of good it did us in the wash up, too.

Hey genius did you have the balls to suggest trading Gibbs 6 weeks ago?

They were offering picks 24 and 33. Players that went after 24 in that draft:

Dawes
Djerkurra
Tippett
Davey
Goldstein
Houli
Mackay
Lindsay Thomas
Robbie Gray
Goldsack
Jesse White
Westhoff

doubt it will happen but i would use if it gave us as access to an urgent need. example swap cam mc carthy for gibbs. we get a kpf and use draft to recruit mids. another example mckenzie. we get a kpd. we must have the worst goal to goal spine in the afl.

Gibbs needs to moved on. Cannot keep teasing us with flashes of performance and the fact you're a former No.1 pick doesn't make you immune for scrutiny or trade bait. I'd take a second round pick for him. We won't get a 1st rounder. I'd commit to paying only a qtr of his wage for the remaining 4 years that way we're not hamstrung salary cap wise.

Are you Andrew McKay?

If I were Andy McKay (thank god I am not in his position) I would be finding a way to get 3 picks inside the top 30 and picking best available no matter what position. I would do the same thing at the end of 2016 as well.

We need two in the top 10, and another two in the next 20.

We'll get a top 10 and another around 25 just by virtue of ladder position. The other two we need to trade smartly for.

We will already have 2 picks in at the very least the top 25, so if we can jag another high pick + young prospect for Gibbs, that ll be a nice little treasure chest.

Id also see if we could possibly get an early 2nd rounder for Walks (similar to a Brian Lake or Nick Dal Santo deal). Surely the top Clubs looking to top up on senior talent would take a look.

Do this and we can possibly end up with 4 picks in top 30 + young prospect.

And as much as we need a big young key forward, we are 4 or 5 players short of a decent midfield. We have so much work to do.

We'd probably like walker to hit a target by foot at some point this season then
