Ok so with Hendo out and Jamison and Meznel cleared to play, the picture becomes a bit clearer, by which I mean clear as mud.

Casboult - spent a lot of time in the VFL in the ruck and didn't really make an impact
Warnock - was hot garbage
Watson - was a decent deep target in the VFL but is largely a screen to open up shots from 50 m despite good hands, good size, good kicking and a decent (though perhaps not AFL standard) work ethic
Tutt - pretty quiet in the VFL
DVR - good in the VFL but perhaps not fit enough for AFL
Walsh - good in the VFL but could only be elevated for Sheehan, if we put him on the LTI for his groin injury
Graham - kicked 3 but didn't spread well in the VFL so no chance at AFL level
Dick - just a defender but could open things up for other players
Walker - wasn't great but spent most of the game running up and down the ground; might be better in a forward role
Ellard - Barely got near it as a forward but wasn't alone
Carrazzo - Accumulating at an OK rate but giving zero outside the bubble
Jaksch - enough to persist with in some sort of third tall role

After all that, I think it'll be:

Out: Warnock, Henderson
In: Dick, Jamison

What I'd prefer to see:

Out: Warnock, Ellard, Henderson
In: Walsh, DVR, Jamison

one of the better trade decisions we have made of late
like jim said depends on what game plan mighty mick sets for the boys determines the productivity we produce
if we some targets and a proper link up structure there is nothing stopping us playing competitive footy

Wowsers, who is gonna kick a goal without Hendo. Granted I know he kicked nothing on the weekend, hence the result.

So we have Jones, potentially Watson or Casboult. Do they keep wood and Warnock? Oh geez got a headache.

Blahhhhhhhhhh

Surely Menzel comes back and Walker goes forward to give us some proven goal kickers. With Watson, Levi & Bell (and occasionally Jaksch) we could look half decent up fwd.

Yes, we should try a smaller forward line. Menzel, and walker together might be interesting.

Maybe we would have a better chance if we got the mums to play in place of their sons on Mother's day?

Would the sons have to give back their mum's handbags ?

For mine

out - warnock, henderson, ellard
in - casboult, WATSON, menzel

don't like the idea of dropping a player after just the one week but wood is ahead of warnock atm.

If Jammo's back, drop Jones, bring in Watson and play Jaksch forward. Casboult can ruck with Wood. Then hope Mick doesn't go into his shell and play everyone behind the ball again otherwise the poor forwards will be useless. Play a more positive, quick running game and it gives the forwards a chance to run into space, due to faster ball movement, and gain some confidence given it's against the Lions.

if you watch the first 20 seconds of the Bullants goals on CCTV you will change your minds on Watson quick smart, I challenge anyone to claim that is AFL standard.

added link to make it easy http://www.carltonfc.com.au/video/2015- ... ls-vfl-rd3

A little confidence and about 5-8 kilos off his frame would do him the world of good IMO.

Every player in the comp has probably done something that is not AFL standard at some stage. I'd prefer him to Jones right now.
