Don't see why it can't be both. If you accept that a) we should have taken a rookie ruckman last year, b) Warnock is gone at season's end and c) a fair chance Kreuzer as well, we're going to need as many as 3 new ruckmen in.

I'd prefer Dixon or Gorringe as at the very least it prevents us from being hamstrung the year after in making the necessary calls on Jones, and hopefully not Casboult/Watson.

Kreuzer's not going anywhere unless he's retiring from the game. Watson is also out of contract.

Jones is signed until 2017; Casboult 2016. If we retain Kreuzer and these guys just naturally fall off the list while we recruit, I'm ok with that. If other clubs want to jump in a year early and trade for them, I'm ok with that. They're fodder, unless they improve.

Kreuzer may well retire. Watson may well be given a one year deal on the grounds of "nobody else".

Given that they're minor points to what we were discussing, once again you're just trolling.

club may well choose to not match FA offers to Kreuz if they think we'll get a 2nd rd or higher pick.

Gold Coast do not have good tall stocks at present. I understand you targeting value players in the 10-25 ranking at other clubs, but Gorringe isn't it, and they won't pony up the other names for anything other than above market value.

I'd look elsewhere, particularly outside the AFL because we're on a budget when it comes to sourcing talent given we want to retain as much of our own in the process.

Buy in a buyer's market, sell in a seller's market.

He hasn't been on the park long enough to warrant that. I think all parties would be happy with a 1+1 contract at this stage, back loaded to a degree, and if everything goes well we can sign him up for 3 or 4 years thereafter.

They've invested all of this time, they're not going to walk away from that unless he does. They'd honestly be @#$%&! morons if they did.

This entire discussion could change in 4 weeks if he comes back into the fold successfully, but if he is a bust and others want to take a crack, I doubt we'd even get 2nd round compensation. Are you citing Shaun Higgins as an example of his value?

Be lucky to get a second rounder.

And we'd have to pay half his contract as well.

no point trading him - we would lose out massively

tie him up and whip him repeatedly whilst forcing him to watch lassie reruns, then poke him in the eyes for 6 months repeatedly. lock him in a room full of wasps, burn his clothes and cut his hair

we need to make him angry - get some life and anger into the bastard

he is such a vanilla muffin out there, prancing around

We'd get peanuts for him now... should've taken the free agency compo pick for him last year

No leadership, no hardness, no hunger, no heart, no care factor... 5 more years

Drop him Mick... make a statement... I doubt he will even care

Spot on.

Effort and desire should be non negotiable. There were numerous occasions last night he didn't try - again!!

He isn't anything close to a leader. How can you have him setting an example for others?? Get him out of the team.

He was laughed at and booed from about half time by the entire crowd last night, from about the second qtr onwards - because it was blatantly obvious he wasn't putting in.

Go to 1.20 mark and you'll understand why we get frustrated with Bryce. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree!

..we turned a creative half forward with strong overhead marking, and we turned him into a lazy receiving halfback.. ..he can spend some minutes on ball, but he's a half forward.. ..this is what happens when we draft kids we think can become midfielders..

Get rid of him now - and whoever signed him to five years - sack them now as well. Anyone know who made that decision?

Probably McKay. Worst Football Manager in the AFL. Seriously NFI. Word is he'll be gone at the end of the year as well.

did you see mckay's face last night after the loss? in the sheds at one point the camera zoomed in on him. talk about a guy who knows he's dead man walking.

i'd bet all of my money, which isn't much, that he's gone at the end of the year.

it's going to be some kind of cleanout. which is exciting in itself.
