I'm tipping we will have the lowest possession tally at Carlton since 1989.

25 shots to 11. We're lucky we're not down by a hundred

This is going as expected. I hate when there is no joy in winter. BTW half the CarltonFC supporters have left by now.

Who would've thought that loss to the Gold Coast in 2012 would have created this? I was there that night.

Something is wrong.
I have no idea if it's the coach, the list, the board or what but if something isn't done, they will lose their membership base and become another Footscray, consigned to be also-rans forever.

You make alot more miserably harder for yourself if you trade your good KP players. too hard to trade for, damn hard to develop through the draft. Midfielders you can replace KP players 3 times as hard.

That pass to Elliot went eight metres at most.

Watch Collingwood bring the ball out of defence. One player makes an unrewarded lead which creates space behind him. That's the player they target with the kick. Its happened from the first bounce.
Those structures are trained and ingrained. Whats more disappointing is we have done nothing to counter it. :screwy:

Boakhurst Sub was a massive mistake

I'm ready for SOS to take the keys he needs picks to work with..

SOS is not the answer.

I don't think he means as coach.

Rowe will now give up five to Cloke. Hard to fault his effort though.

We don't move at all ahead of the guy kicking over a mark. How hard is it. Simple fined mental rules can't be followed.

People say Carlton doesn't have the skills to play an uncontested/possession game, yet the tactics you discuss actually allow for easy kicks between players - you don't need precision kicks to play it like some would like you to believe.

Carlton on the other hand...huddle down the line and wait for the kick. Then tire yourself out fighting amongst a pack of 18.

We started with a zone defensive structure through midfield but it fell apart once we were put under a bit more pressure with Collingwood's foot skills.

Coincidentally those are the tactics I've been screaming for us to implement for 6 years.

At this point he may as well be coach.
