the whole structure without casboult worries me we're capable of kicking a winning score.

jones and henderson get better defenders. jones will go invisible and without casboult marking and creating contests, the ball seems to rebound out of our front 50 too easily.

we'll see, but i gots a bad feeling.

Walker to play forward.
Ellard to sub off for Boekhurst just before 3/4 time.
Whiley to blanket Pendelbury.

Unsure about the speculated late inclusion of Casboult - I think Warnock is more likely.

Glorious day though. Went for a kick of the pill at Carlton gardens at lunchtime, will head off from work at around 6pm, knock back a few bevvies with some fellow supporters from work and stroll through Fitzroy gardens to meet my old man at the 'G by 7:15. Then get to watch our first round picks KJ, Whiley and Boekhurst running around. LOVING IT!

I think this game will boil down too how well we punish the Pies when they turnover the ball.
Richmond turned over the ball plenty of times in round 1 and we could not cash in.

Odds on Carlton shortening a fair bit, a lot of money for us.

I don't see it, but love to be wrong.

Yes, we belted them twice that season under Ratts.

I can see it. We're at least even money in my book. They have a lot of ordinary youth who are coming off a big game last week. Our youth is strong - CRIPPS, Whiley, Menzel, Doch, KJ. They have Adams, Crisp, Oxley, Ramsay, Frost.

Control the ruck, win the game.

Does Wood go to the pocket and leave Knockers in the 1st ruck?.
I think wood offers more than Casboult as far as a ruck foward, at least in the Ruck he's second efforts have been good. He was leading the centre clearances at one stage against the Bombres*.

Funny,
Only a week ago the overwhelming majority of armchair critics on here couldn't wait to get Casboult out the door quick enough.
Now its seems our whole structure hinges on his inclusion and we're lost without him....
A week sure is a long time in this caper...

Personally I don't want him back. Not up to it IMO. Too many flaws in his game. Problem is at the moment is only have several very average options in Jones, Casboult & Watson.

There is one man who is a better forward than Casboult, Rowe, Jones and Jacksh and that's Jamison. It's sad.

They won't do it but they should at least try.

Better lead-up forward, but shocking kick under pressure in the past. Walker provides virtually the same thing; use him.

my spooky tooth says this will be a special night.
not necessarily a win for us, but a really good battle.
could be closer than most folks think.

I get the feeling Jim doesn't rate Ellard very highly.
