yeah,
he could not be expected to last the 4 q's at this stage.

The argument that Cripps only played well "because of the small ground" is stupid.

I'll concede that helped him to make it to - and actually compete in - more contests than on a larger ground.

But it's what he actually did at those contests that was impressive. I don't care how young or underdone the St Kilda players were, the fact that he consistently extracted the ball and was able to hit targets and create play under heavy congestion is what was impressive. This is actually an even better indicator of his talent precisely *because* of the smaller ground.

Give him a bigger tank and some more space to work within, and watch what happens.

The scragging and off the ball harassing of Murph just didn't stop; every time he got near the ball St Kilda seemed to wholly focus on stopping him, but again and again he got to the ball and got a clean possession away. Clearly BOG for me

And once again where was the help for Murphy? I think Bell intervened once. What other club would allow their Captain to be treated like this?

It happened with Judd too.

We heed to develop suuport and assistance for all our skilled players its lacking badly. I don't mean knocking some out ditto Yarren. Just care and due diligence to each other. Stand up to harassment and scragging, intelligently.
Team cohesion and spirit , rallying around young player for their first goals or courages play makers.
Watching the Demons was game was amazing , the energy amongst their youngsters was almost palpable.
The are gathering the ingredients for a very good team spirit and culture .
Excellent development eg never rushed Hogan what a future star , great drafting and coaching.

That's a glib and incorrect assessment.

He's put on body strength, his running power has gone up. Every box is ticked for him except for off-the-ball work, but he's not a natural defender.

Premiership player Fraser Murphy or someone else that was rubbish?

Yep, that one. The one that was really fast and often made silly mistakes like breaking the lines and leaving the ball behind him..

He's playing the game in a higher gear than most of those around him; if you can't see that despite the odd handling error, I don't know what more I can say to convince you.

Credit to Roos but that is the advantage of multiple high draft picks year after year.

And whilst a cloud still hover over him noticed Jab Watson say on Thursday night that cripps will be a very good player so even bombers the week before reckon he was going well
Happy for the win against a pretty ordinary side but good to see glimmer of hope this week and last ie performance of cripps bokehurst Buckley Byrne

Sorry. He doesn't break the lines and leave the ball behind him. That must've been Ellard yesterday.

I actually like Buckley, but he does need to up the ante if he wants to be a regular player.

Conundrum No 2: if Ellard left the ball behind it would it still be in front of him?

You'd think that St K only ran out with an under 21 side.

They still had a third of their team aged 25 or over.

Certainly more young ones in their team than ours but not as young as many would lead you to believe.

BTW we had 2 first gamers in.

Those negative about Cripps' game because it was small ground sound like total merchant bankers. Why don't you change your TC handles to something like 'the list manager' and stand around posting in a war room.

Cripps is in game 6 of hopefully a 200 game career. If he fails next week it won't be because it is a large ground, it will be because he is in game 6 of hopefully a 200 game career.
